TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

Hi @MoKiChU I am hoping that you can help me please.

I can't install the mei or serial io drivers. I have a z790 apex and running windows 11.

I download the driver, extract the file, and as per your instructions right click on the install cmd file and run as admin,

A command prompt opens up briefly (half a second maybe) and the pc reboots immediately without installing the driver. How can i fix this please?

HI can you check device manager as image below

MrAgapiGC_0-1687581919006.png

you can also check the board firmware on intel management

Thank you both for your responses. So I checked device manager and the driver version has not updated.

Out of curiosity when you install from a setup file it would install a program i.e in add remove programs it would show intel management components and the version e.g 2306.4.10 With your drivers it doesn't install the program right? So it would only show as updated in device manager or should the program show new version too in add remove programs? e.g if I install 2306.4.30 would it only show driver version in device manager or would the add remove program show the new version too?

@MoKiChU I moved the extracted folder from my downloads (where I normally extract and launch from) to my desktop and the same thing happens. The command prompt opens up quickly and the computer restarts with no driver installation taking place.

I know you're not here for i.t support but any other ideas what could be causing this?

I got that desperate that I did a fresh install of windows 11 with your drivers installed on a usb to try straight away and the same thing happened 😞

@MoKiChU Hi I did the workaround you suggested and that seems to have updated the drivers.

Thank you for your help. Much appreciated

Seems like website was updated with new driver:

Intel Management Engine Interface V2306.4.3.0 (SW 2307.4.12.0) For Windows 10/11 64-bit.

Version 2306.4.3.0
Should skip these?

Thanks

Hi,

1) Intel MEI Software Package v2307.4.12.0 from your motherboard support page contains no newer drivers than what's currently in the thread.
2) Don't mix my Intel MEI Drivers Package (Drivers Only) install type with the Intel MEI Software Package install type :

Software Package from your motherboard support page contains Intel MEI Driver and all the imposed SWC drivers (DAL, ICLS & WMI) but also SWC/Ext optional drivers and unnecessary for most consumer users.

Drivers Package (Drivers Only) that I offer contains Intel MEI Driver and only the imposed DAL, ICLS & WMI SWC drivers (If you don't install the imposed SWC drivers, Windows Update will install them for you with older versions because the install order of these SWC drivers is initied/imposed by Intel MEI driver itself).

So If you have used drivers packages from others types/sources than what I offer and want to use my drivers packages, I advise you to do this :

- Uninstall Intel Management Engine Components from your apps installed (Start > Settings > Apps) then restart your PC.
- Launch Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator) > Check the boxes of all versions of these drivers .inf (if you find them) : heci.inf | dal.inf | dal_wc.inf | iclsclient.inf | lms.inf | mesrl.inf | mewmiprov.inf | wiman.inf | wiman_wlan_extension.inf
- Check the box "Force Deletion" then click on the "Delete Driver" button then restart your PC.
- Download the Intel MEI drivers package from the first post of this thread.
- Follow the Install/Update Process.

thanks so much Guess what! remember the pain of patch last tuesday. MS install old drivers also. i run what you mentioned above menus the uninstaler since i did not use the Soft Pack. If i want to check the chipset what i need to look.

NOTE: i also notice that for 13th gen is the old one. I did check my z690 with 13th (13900k) and looks ok with 10.1.19468.8385.  What i need to look on the pc that will not be ok.

Thanks Mokichu

Hi,

If you're using a Raptor Lake (13th Gen) CPU and you initially installed the Intel Chipset Drivers v10.1.19284.8351 or older and that you have upgraded them to a version between 10.1.19376.8374 WHQL and 10.1.19468.8385 WHQL, follow this process :

- Uninstall your current Intel Chipset Drivers package if you have any installed (via Start > Settings > Apps) then restart your PC.
- Launch Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator) > Check the boxes of all versions of Intel drivers which .inf contains system word in the System device category (if you find them).
- Check the box "Force Deletion" then click on the "Delete Driver" button then restart your PC.
- Install last Intel Chipset Drivers package from the first post of the thread.

On my way. i will check the driver store app and check. The pc is not working bad in fact is ok. but that pc does real workload and need to work on limits over days periots. than boss. on it!

Hi MoKiChU!

If I try to follow those 4 steps, my Windows will just BSOD when doing the "Delete Driver" option from Driver Store Explorer.
I am unable to install non of the Intel Chipset Drivers... they all BSOD on me.

What else to try to fix this?
