Hi everyone,
For information : Since these Intel MEI Drivers v2512.7.3.0, ICLS SWC Device is no more used with the motherboards with Intel 5xx series chipsets. So if you have an ICLS SWC Driver (iclsclient.inf) in your Driver Store Explorer, you can delete it, it will not be used.
Thread, post & drivers packages updated.

I had a new experience today while updating MEI Driver on my Z590 motherboard, which is that when I update to the latest version, ICLS is removed. When I reinstall the old version, ICLS appears. I don't know if it's a driver error or an intended behavior by Intel.
ADDED: I just saw the comment right above. I'll check with Intel to see why ICLS SWC Device is no more used.

I asked the Intel community about the removed iCLS, but as it turns out, even Intel employees don't seem to know much about the functions and uses of the MEI driver. Only a very small number of Intel engineers may know how to use the MEI driver exactly. In the end, I could only get vague answers and a technical document for the 12th generation dated February 2025, which may have been extended to the 11th generation.

Hi MoKiChU,
I still have Intel Management Engine Components (2130.16.0.2387) listed in Apps.
Now that I’ve installed your MEI package, should I uninstall that — or are they different things?

Hi,
Follow this process to cleanup your Intel MEI Drivers :
- Uninstall Intel Management Engine Components from your apps installed if you have any (Start > Settings > Apps) then restart your PC.
- Launch Driver Store Explorer > Check the boxes of all versions of these drivers .inf (if you find them) : heci.inf | dal.inf | dal_wc.inf | iclsclient.inf | lms.inf | mesrl.inf | mewmiprov.inf | wiman.inf | wiman_wlan_extension.inf
- Check the box "Force Deletion" then click on the "Delete Driver(s)" button then restart your PC.
- Press Windows key + X > "Device Manager" > "View" > Check "Show hidden devices" > "Sofware components" category.
- Uninstall the "Intel(R) Management and Security Application Local Management" hidden device by right-click Uninstall device (if you find it) then restart your PC.
- Install the latest Intel MEI Drivers from the first post of this thread.
