When will MediaTek fulfill its promise of MT7925/MT7927 (Filogic 360/380) supporting LE AUDIO function/LC3 decoding on Windows platform? Filogic 380 has been released for two and a half years, and Filogic 360 has been released for nearly a year. The functions mentioned at the press conference have not yet been implemented. Is this considered false propaganda?

I can imagine the issue might be that no party wants to pay the royalties for the LC3 codec. Like, Microsoft expects the vendor of the Bluetooth chip to provide the LC3 codec, but MediaTek may be hoping that Microsoft will eventually provide the LC3 codec together with Windows.

There is good news.
About a week ago a new driver package for MediaTek surfaced on the website Station-Drivers, which includes driver versions 5.4.0.2611 and 1.1039.0.467 for the MT7925 (google for "station drivers 5.4.0.2611"). Unfortunately I could not install the drivers (at least not the regular way), since the included *.inf files contain only very few hardware IDs and the ones of my MT7925 are not among them. However, I noticed the folder for the Bluetooth drivers includes a subfolder named "ACX" with a "MediaTek Bluetooth Audio Device" driver that I had never seen before in any driver package. I tried to install it, but it didn't seem to do anything.
Today I installed the BT driver version 1.1041.0.491 that MoKiChU posted here a few days ago. Lo and behold, with this BT driver the ACX driver appears to have come to life, as the magic "Use LE Audio when available" option in Windows 11 is now shown on my PC.
I need to say that I don't own any Bluetooth device that supports LE Audio and therefore cannot test whether it really works. Maybe someone else here can?

Thank you so much! I've also turned this feature on and will be testing it tonight.

I used two headphones that support LE audio to test, and both can connect to the LE audio mode normally, and new devices will appear in the device manager. It is currently found that the playback and microphone audio quality cannot be adjusted. The sound quality of audio playback will decrease when the microphone is working. Is this possibly a problem with the LC3? Because I have a similar situation with my CREATIVE dongle: when it is in LC3 mode, microphone calls will cause the audio quality to degrade, but in LC3+ mode the audio quality will be very stable.Screenshot 2024-12-26 002242.pngScreenshot 2024-12-26 002151.png屏幕截图 2024-12-26 003848.png

Hello and thank you for posting WiFi drivers for MediaTek card.
I had sudden issue in Windows 11: "Unable to connect to this network" when every other device on network was working smoothly. I tried Ubuntu Live USB key to check HW, but it was OKay, so it was the driver.

Hello,

thank you for the drivers, I'm with MT7927 chip and MB is Asus Hero X870e , and on windows 10 as expected, no BT and no WiFi.

I needed Bluetooth support mostly, and the drivers you linked worked perfect, now I have BT on win10.

However, I said, why not Wi-Fi too, but so far no success with the Wi-Fi.

Wi-Fi works on Win11, so the hardware seems to be OK.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

One thing is that on Win11 I Disabled WiFi by just clicking on the WiFi button in the network icon (taskbar - next to the clock), but I doubt that would stop me to install the drivers when I'm on win10.

The Wi-Fi drivers MediaTek has provided so far for the RZ7xx (MT7925/MT7927) just don't work in Windows 10. It's been the same for everyone. I haven't heard of anyone getting it to work.

Nice to know wi-fi with MT7927 still doesn't work for everyone on win10. We can wait and hope MT will release some, or someone can figure out how to adjust the available ones for win10 :).
