Hey guys and gals

I have a alienware Area 51 alx
I upgrade my mobo from a 1366 socket to MAXIMUS VI HERO 1150

The issue I'm having is the cpu bracket (the black screw thing on the back of the motherboard) won't fit the new mobo which is not allowing me to use my previous alienware liquid cooling fan any ideas of some sort of conversion bracket kit as I really don't wanna have to buy a new fan

Thanks any advice is much appreciated

You have to buy a new fan unfortunately. They didn't mean for you to switch that out. You can look around for generic 1150 backplates but I doubt that will work.
