Spitfire by Drex Casemods

Hi Friends

Allow me to show my current project, the Spitfire. I just added photos of it already finished because it`s current worklog is in a brazillian forum and would take ages to translate everything 😞 but if you have any doubts or questions about some part of theproject I will promptly answer your questions and post worklog photos if avaliable.

Some History

I designed this case thinking "clean", I mean, trying to added stuff without making it looks polutted, like the European fellas (here in Brazil casemodders usually "add everything" in their cases, sometimes breaking the case`s design) This project is sponsored by Cooler Master South America that provided me their very best performance parts :). It`s already won an award from NVIDIA (Best Casemod in Campus Party Brazil 2013)

The Specs:

I7 920 2.6GHz
Asus Rampage III Extreme
2x Asus GTX 680 DCUII TOP

24GB DDR3 HyperX 1800MHz
Cooler Master SPH 1300W
CM Elite X6
CM Excaliburs
CM Storm Trooper

Hope you enjoy:

Looks beautiful. Threads like this make me want to start modding. I just built my first ever PC ( Specs in signature ) in a Phantom NZXT case and will probably be adding some LED strips and fans to it very soon since it has multiple mesh openings in the case.

How do you get the uniform color down pat? Is it just a matter of searching for the correct parts or is there some sort of way to form factor certain parts to make them match up.

Thanks for your recognition ! You have a pretty nice machine. I think Phanton is one of the best cases to start modding... it`s stylish, huge and not so expensive, If I could give you an advice to start your mod it is: Just start modding! Is the better way to learn what works and what doesn`t.

About the colors, nothing came the way i would like 😞 I painted/modded almost every pieces of my hardware. For the MoBo I painted the heatsinks with blue spray and created an aluminium cover with a carbon fiber Di-Noc over it. I also created a cover to the PSU, painted fans and sleeved the cables... everything 100% handmade 🙂

Please lemme kinow if you have any doubts 🙂
