Hello guys
this is my second project, a tribute to asus rog.
There is a desk case realized by hydra a italian startup, and modified by me.

The Hardware:

INTEL I7 6850K
ASUS RAMPAGE V EXTREME EDITION 10
32 GB GSKILL TRIDENTZ 3200 cl15 4x16 QUADCHANNEL DDR4
SAMSUNG SSD 512 GB 960 PRO M.2 NVME
SAMSUNG SSD 1 TB 950 PRO
SAMSUNG SSD 2 TB 850 EVO
CORSAIR AX1500ì
ASUS GTX 1080 TI FOUNDER EDITION X2 SLI
ASUS STRIX RAID DLX 7.1
ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q

64796 64797

All liquid cooled.

It will be a triple loop (in the scheme to highlight the 3 circuits I colored them differently, but in reality, the yellow loop will be red)
The colors will be 'red pastel mayhem ram circuit and VGA circuit, white pastel mayhem on cpu / MOSFET circuit.
I will use EK-XTOP DCC 3.2 PWM ELITE pumps, EK-RES X3 400 tanks, EC-COOLSTREAM XE 480 radiators 1 piece and 5 pieces of EK-COOLSTREAM XE 360 (andran in the desk leg).
For the EK-FB monoblock CPU ASUS R5-E10, EK WB vga, the backplates would like them personalized. The ram with the MONARCH X4 EK. Saran BITSPOWER connectors, tubes and flow meters, online temperature sensors will be saran 6 (before and after heat load) alphacool. Managed by the LAMPTRON CW611. Fan operated by two Lamptron fc5v3.

The chosen fans are the Bitfenix Specter Xtreme red, 23 pcs

Started by installing the monoblock on the motherboard

And customizing VGA backplates

64842
64843

I made a sticker that I'm going to paste on the side of my desk (my ugly face will be in the mod !!!!)

Thanks to @twistermod: together we have created this backlit laser cutting plexiglass

Now we are building a backlit panel for ssd, soon photos.
Meantime I continue to mount the hadware and radiators:

Your work is pretty incredible and original, and very aggressive. Kudos on everything you've shown here. 😄 Can I ask a few questions on your project?

  • How did you determine two cooling circuits with 6 exhaust fans in series each ckt would be the right solution? Did you do calcs on it or just guess? I am curious because you seem like you might've calc'd it then picked the number of fans that would operate in the silent range based on curve.

  • Do you have filtration on the intakes (at the fans)? Couldn't tell yet from the pics.

  • It appears the power supply is mounted upside down? Am I seeing that wrong, and will that affect the bearing life?

  • Lastly (and this is not a criticism just curiosity), it appears you didn't put the whole assembly on locking wheels, so begs the question how heavy the whole thing will be, do you know? Wouldn't you want it movable by a single person, so maybe lockable casters? There are no lifting lugs or points I can see.

Happy building, this is great!

Hi!
Thank you very much! I'm glad you appreciate my work.

Here's the answers:
1. the circuits are 3:
Cpu with six fans, Ram six fans, and 7 fans.
The ram was chosen more for aesthetic appearance than calculating and also adding ssd to the circuit.
The CPU and VGA have fans for very high cooling, generating a heat dissipation power equal to twice the generated heat. For oveclocking not thinking about the noise!

For Vga:

2. In front of the fans there will be the bulkhead of the desk, with dust filters for radiators.
The Bulkhead
64936

3. Psu's position is right, as you see in the picture the fan is on the grid for the air. I do not think there are problems with the bearings.
64937

4.4. ahahah you're right!
I had thought about it but did not put the wheels, it's light enough (all aluminum) and I have to move it about a meter. It should be positioned (as you can see in the picture) in the niche of my house where the notebook is now.

Stay tuned.
Soon new photos of progress.

Be very careful of those flow meters that you have pictured in post #8.
I had purchased one and it had leaked on me between the transparent plastic and the black G1/4 connector. It wasn't the O-Ring either. I think it was a flaw in the plastic housing or something. PLUS if you use any kind of die then you'll stain the hell out of it and it'll be almost impossible to clean out.

Still not casters? HMPH !!

🙂 Just kidding, it's coming along nicely.
