Hello

I've been doing some buildings for quite a while, but this is my first post of my latest project. The project name is NYX.

The components are:

  • MB Rampage V Extreme X99 2011-3
  • Memory Kingston Predator DDR4 3000 MHZ 16 GB Kit
  • Proc. i7 5820K @ 4.5 GHZ
  • (3) Video Cards Gigabyte GTX 980 G1 Gaming @ 1527 MHZ OC
  • (2) SSD Corsair XT 480 GB
  • EKWB 480 RAD XTX
  • EKWB 360 RAD XE
  • EKWB Supreme Evo for 2011-3 Block
  • EKWB (3) Acetal+Nickel VGA Waterblocks for GTX 980
  • EKWB (3) Satin Black Backplates for GTX 980
  • EKWB (2) Combo Pump D5 Vario with 250ml Resevoir
  • EKWB Triple Parallel VGA Block
  • EKWB Several conectors and Acrylic Tubes
  • Lamptron CF525 (2) Fan Controllers up to 60w per channel
  • (7) Delta Fans of 252 CFM High Performance
  • ROG 3 SLI Bridge
  • PSU Corsair AX1200i
  • Case Corsair 900D

I might be forgetting something lol !

It way pretty easy installing the waterblocks of the VGA and Proc, the really hard part was putting in place the reservoirs. That took me a while to guess how to do it. Of course, doing it without any modification of the case or custom parts.

After a while I figure it out and bought a Pump Holder from EKWB and it was perfect fit all set.

Another hard part was bending the acrylic tubes ... damn that took me a lot of hours and busting lots of tubes lol ! but after practicing lol ! I got it.

The tubes are not as I wanted to be, but it WORKS. Ill be installing another Proc. Block ( Elite Version all Nickel from EKWB) and then ill modify the tubes to be better.

My processor is running @ 4.5 GHz, and in idle the temps are around 22 ~ 23 Degrees Celsius and my GTX 980's @ 1527 GHZ are running 21~22 Degrees Celsius in idle.

During half and hour of game-play, the 980's are running @ 29~30 Degrees Celsius MAX.

I'm really happy with the Temps results.

Please let me know your comments and questions.

If anyone is asking why I placed the Fan Controllers facing the inside of the case. Well, the Corsair 900D doesn't look good with stuff on the outside, just looks weird for me lol.

Very nice build. Congratulations!
I plan do do that sometime but I am a little scared because I never did something like that and I don't know if I can find all necessary parts at once and I do not have knowledge about fittings and tubes and might place a wrong order. Anyway I think everything must be very well planned when you start doing something like that.

Thanks buddy, don't be afraid ... just get a notebook and start doing your own diagrams of water flow. About fittings just YouTube some videos and you are set to go.

But yes, it has to be well planned so everything works as it should.

You've done a great job for sure. Everything looks nice and clean. I see that you're a watercooling lover. Perhaps consider getting the Monoblock for the R5E from EKWB?
