I'm Sergio Quichimbo, but i like to be called SerozMetal, or just Seroz.
I'm from Ecuador and 18 years old...
And this is my project.
I would like some advices on my build, things like: "You should..." or "You Must..."
This is my 2nd Build but it is my first personal battlestation, so... i start:
Price: $2.300
Use: Workstation and Gaming. (I use Autocad)
You are going to see many parts from differents brands, but the money for this came from a foundation called: Dad, and i was limited to buy parts (btw here (Ecuador) these parts are not cheap and the sellers abuse on the price).
Case: Thermaltake Chaser Mk-1
PSU: Corsair TX850 v2 850w
Motherboard: ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770k 3.5GHZ Default - It's running 4.2GHZ at 34° C
RAM: Kingston HyperX 16GB 1600Mhz (2x8GB)
CPU Cooling: Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme
V.Card.: ASUS GeForce GTX 760 OC DirectCU II
Storage:
-SSD: Corsair Neutron 128GB
-HDD: Seagate 1TB 7200rpm
Optical:
-DVD: 1 DVD-RW that i don't know the brand (to install the OS)
-B-Ray: ASUS BW-12B1ST
Keyboard & Mouse: Logitech Wireless Combo K260 & M210. It's enough but i want the ROG Mouse.
Why didn't i use the Formula, 2 VCards, RAM with more frequency and Liquid Cooling ?
Mobo: Money.
2 VCards: Money but i'm going to add another no matter what.
RAM: Money and duration.
Liquid Cooling: I'm sure that i'm going to add this.
Temps. of my room?
22°-18°.
Are you using ASUS' apps?
I'm using AISuite 3 for fans and i overclock the CPU manually (ROG BIOS ImI).
Things to add:
-another ASUS GeForce GTX 760 OC DirectCU II = SLI = Lvl ROG.
-More fans = You know, temps.
-Liquid Cooling = nuff said.
-Monitor = Actually i use a VGA quality monitor 22", but i must get the ASUS
-Asus Sound card = Many reasons.
I hope to get advices from you guys (for Temps and Performance) , i'm glad to be part of this community and... ROG and roll!
