Just thought I would post pics of my Rig. I ran my own IT company in South Africa . Water cooling gear here is very expensive . We get nailed on shipping and import duties. Our Rand is that the strongest currency arround so we dont really see many monster builds from here.

4 GHz 4790K i7@ 4.6GHz (1.18v) , 16GB DDR3 1866 MHz Dominator GT , Asus Maximus VI Formula Motherboard , Cosair GT 240 GB ( Boot )
Obsidian Series 650D Mid-Tower Case , Asus GTX 680, LG Blu -Ray combo , Cosair HX 1000 PSU , Custom water loop.( EK and Rasa )

Compression fittings?

Barbs. Compression fittings are too expensive here. I am changing my block soon. Going to get the new EK Supremacy EN Nickel Acetal . Might get compression fettings then. Going to get the new Rasa D5 Res aswell.

If u can get hold of, the 45 degree fittings are nice..


I have one myself, and i dont ehh really like to 0000 patterns..

I agree the 00 patterns are not as nice as my current one,but I can see in my current temps under load my flow plate is not right. I misplace my other flow plates. I mailed Ek to ask which plate I should use and they said the stock one should be fine but it not very good with my OC under load.

If everything is installed properly, you should have around 24-26c idle at 1,4v (vcore), with that block, you have now..

I think its a great looking block..

Atm I am getting a Average of 43 °@ idle and its very cold here. With my pervious 2700K it was arround 30° @ Idle. I am thinking its my flow plate.. Have just added 45° compression fiitings to my order.

Even with a lower flowrate, it takes a lot to get 43c idle..

Is the water moving at all?

This is know> with your cpu at 1,4v, and a 240 rad, and supreme cpu block... it should not be higher than max 28c.. idle..

If u are using speedstep..

Idle at 1200mhz..
