Monster

Due to my iterative upgrade cycle, my PC is basically 15 years old, without any part currently being older than a year. My PC has always been named "Monster". Here he is today:

Specs in my sig, I shall update with better quality photos when I get the chance to take them.

I think it's pretty much maxed out in terms of what I can upgrade (reasonably without silly diminishing returns), but if anyone has any suggestions I'm always open to ideas 🙂

Thanks everyone.

Thats a pretty damn solid looking system right there..

I think next step would probably be getting a different case.

Thanks Mankz,

I do like the look of the 1200, which is why I'm sticking with it for now. Although I do plan to change it when it's time to do the next generation upgrade in a couple of years.

The case is a challenge in a few areas, the most trouble I had was fitting the H100i in there. The solution I came up with surprisingly works very well as it's pulling in air from outside the case in a push/pull setup (see link below for my solution). There was JUST enough piping to reach!

Nice monster you're raising there, danno81. I saw your post a few months back. I'm surprised you haven't modded a vent in the bottom of the case for the PSU fan to pull it's own air from the bottom than fighting your 7970 for air. lol 😛

Thanks Chino,

Indeed that is something I shall be doing at some point 🙂 I have the tools ready...

All I need is the time and the "can be bothered" to take everything out and cut a hole in it. I dare not leave anything in there in the event of evil destructive shards! I also need to find a decent way of lifting it a little off the ground before it can draw enough air.

For now I'll have to leave it. I have a 'loose' fan that's helping with the airflow blowing sideways for now.
