Menthols Test bench adventures

I moved to a new location this week, still most stuff in boxes, Verizon FIOS has some sweet connection speeds like nothing I have ever seen. signed up for the 75 MB down 35 MB up, test shows I am getting 84 MB down 39 MB up, I like it. I got 2 test benches for my 2 systems before I moved and have been waiting to transfer the hardware until I moved. so this morning I transferred one system onto Top Desk Test Station and got it up and running. I will tackle the other as soon as I go through some boxes to find some parts, what a hassle, pack it up for easy identification and can find everything except what I'm looking for. I took a couple pics with my cell phone, not very good but posting them anyway.
M6E with a 4770K cooled by Corsair H100i for now, with 8 GB of GSkill 2666 mhz Ram and a GTX 680 this should keep me connected till I tear into the CaseLabs and install that hardware on another test bench.

Been hard to accomplish anything, family over, trying to get unpacked a real pain. I did get my RIVE on the other bench table, need to re evaluate and make changes but need to order more parts, this will have to do for the Summer Sizzle.
RVIE - EK VRM water block with the PCH heatsink, I like this.
CPU - Koolance block
ASUS 7970 Matrix aircooled
GSkill 4X2GB 1600mhz to 2400mhz - I love these sticks
Phobya bench
Will be purchasing one of those big external radiators
I hate building pc's, I can never get my wiring or tubing neet

GSkill pi 1600mhz @ 2400mhz low psc timings in bios at 1.81 volts

I believe that AIDA is not reading the memory correctly or I have the best bandwidth ever lol

Those are some pretty nice timings you got going on there.
Could I ask you what that setting is in the 7th row is that you have at 96 clocks. (Mine is blank.)

Speaking of Ram and these pi modules this 3970X does better with Ram than my 3930K. Set the timings in the bios to loose psc and 2508mhz easy as one click in the bios, not bad for ram rated at 1600mhz

And it completes RealBeanh at those settings pretty happy about that 🙂

I wish I was better at tweaking RAM, I think they would run higher as that was just using the one click bios settings

fbm211,
these are some psc modules that aren't made any more, hard to find and highly sought after. trfc, I am no memory master, hardly know how to tweak there are so many timings these days, but I believe the lower the better as long as it runs stable. Either you need to update your CPU-Z or it just won't read on the Ivy Bridge, not sure as I don't own one.

Nice work all round Menthol! Love what you can get out of that RAM! Have to go back to this with my new CPU....

Nice work mate.

I have three sets of those rams. One set is going to Myk, the other to KP and that leaves one.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

Menthol, that 2400MHz/CAS7 setting is insane! 😄 Have you tried that if completes Real Bench?

I am trying to get my 2 3D benchmarks completed for the competition, having some real troubles, I think it's time format and re-install the OS, haven't done that since the December challenge.
I will try those settings today, I really think the only thing holding me back is me. Really all I did was use the settings in the bios no other tweaks, oh latest bios

Zka,
Well yes and no, had to change command rate from 1 to 2 to get it to complete Realbench successfully

23020

I will have to play with that another day
