I have no idea how long it has been since i posted...My last build was back in 2013 and now a new challenge has come :cool:
I was always a ROG fan so i decided to build a 2k setup. here is my build specs

So far i am at the mock up stage, getting an idea of how i want the loop to be, there is no easy way with this case, but it can be done. as for the EVGA 980ti classy, I returned it since there is a lack of water blocks for it.
(Got the Strix instead ) i did some temp mods to the case by trimming a small piece at the door hinge, it will be covered with my Modded door panel and custom acrylic glass later on,

Set it up just to get an idea , The card is defiantly big for the case (modding required later on )



Here you can see how far it sticks out, enough to not allow the case door to close shut.

Sleeved all my fans and other components where it is needed, used Bitspower 4mm sleeving for the fan wires


Extra door panel ordered with more goodies


Removed the Glass on the door and replacing it with Modders Mesh from MPCTECH, it needs to be properly primed and painted before installation. here is the stuff.


Take measurements.


Primed it with 2 coats at both sides using self etching primer


Did one coat so far of black paint ( need at least 3 coats on each side and a day of drying before i install it )

Custom side door came out pretty good, The Modders mesh is pretty neat once it's done correctly!

man i suck at bending so im ditching it soon and going for straight tubing,


MY drain ports are at the lowest part of the case, room is tight so i couldn't get any nice valves and other fittings in

So basically both cards are big for the Carbide 240 case, go for a reference if you want everything to fit.

I like PC you prepare, AIR 240 is nice little case and for mATX boards and two graphic cards.
I don't know how you plan to deal with size of GPUs. Maybe you should install waterblock on reference model.
But you will very hard to reach same speed as ASUS 980Ti STRIX and keep GPU stable long period.
Strix and Matrix arrive with fantastic clocks out of box. Ready for games on speed where many cards can't stay stable.

I will be playing on the X35 Predator and that is why i went for a much better card, perhaps the Titan x would of been a better single card option but this strix should be able to handle moset games on max 3440x1440

here is some changed i did
Mounted my 750 to sit right behind the rad also away from sight



I used a 15mml extender,5mm male to male and ek had some nice fitting to where you screw a hole in your case and pass right threw it neatly. so the rear of the case wont show much tubing


as you see a much better look than just a hole in the case



this was one of the toughest, finishing up the loop and scratching my hands trying to properly tighten and adjust the fitting/tube

Found a nice place to mount the Extension fan header board


cleaned up a bit


Prepping the system using basic distill water and added some pimochill system prep, ( it won't hurt)
