This is my first time building a rig. I am a 24 yr. old male living in North Carolina USA and I do theatrical lighting and stage production. My rig isn't finished but so far here's what I've got:
Mobo: Asus Rampage IV Formula
CPU: Intel I7 3820 3.6 Sandy Bridge-E
CPU Cooling: Corsair H100 (top mounted pushing in)
GPU: PNY 9800GT (670/80 soon!)
RAM: Mushkin Enhanced Redline Frostbyte 1866Mhz 9-10-9-27
OD: crappy dvd/cd burner from old emachines rig (hopefully a bluray sometime this year!)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 500GB (scavenged from old rig, it'll be for Games/music/movie storage)
EHDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB
SSD: (none yet but Corsair Force GT and OCZ Vertex 4 in the future!)
PSU: OCZ Fatal1ty 1000W 80+ Gold semi-modular
SC: hopefully a Xonar Phoebus by Winter
