I shall be following this one. You're a brave man delidding that i7 though. I know someone that killed 2 x 3770k's trying to delid them and still bought a 3rd to do the same. He was lucky 3rd time though 😄

i've seen many de-lidded , direct die cpu instals . most of those users forget about cpu alignment pins on the socket . those pins stick out too much , and there is no way to compress the cpu the same ammount as with stock socket cover , without removing those .

sorry my poor MVE motherboard .
is this covered by warraty ? 😄




looked for various crap to use as a washer , so the cpu pcb wont flex too much , causing problems with socket pins , or breaking .





glued with blood lol . check out the socket cover mod . only small pieces of the socket cover are left .

I've seen a couple of peeps from another forum i use do it which resulted in a good reduction in temps. Just gotta be super carefull enit. I wouldn't dream of it lol. I can hear those cogs tickin in your head already Zka 😄
