Corsair Carbide Air 540

For anyone wishing to buy the Corsair Carbide Air 540 then here is a bit of a review with the important aspects from my point of view.

The case is overall exceptional to work with and is basically tool free allowing you to dismantle the area's needed to install radiators, SSD's etc. It easily accommodates the H100i in a push pull configuration, and there is additional room for other radiators and pumps as well.

I work and live in a fairly dusty area and although I do my best, in the past I have had to regularly pull apart my rig for cleaning. The Carbide Air has a great, easily removable, fine filter at the front where my major intake fans are.

There is room for four SSD's in a hot swap configuration; however, only space for two HDD's.

The compartment at the rear is my only disappointment, it's great to work in and allows easy access to your SSD's and CPU30486. However, if you were to have multiple GPU's and a complete set of drives, it could easily become a maze of wiring.

This is just my opinion mind you.

Just hope that the stock case fan's don't stop working. All Corsair fan's that hook to the case's fan controller are proprietary. Only the stock case fan's will work with it. No aftermarket fan's will work with it. They're wired differently than Corsair's stock case fan's. Corsair's own aftermarket fans won't work either. The wiring looks the same, but it's different.By the time my Carbide 500R White's fans go, I'm sure I'll be sick of looking at the case by then.

Mate, I have no idea at all what your talking about, obviously not the Carbide Air 540.

There is no fan controller and you actually have an option of whether to use dual 140 mm or triple 120 mm fans at the front and all fans plug straight to the motherboard. So you can use any fan you want.

You have totally lost me with this one. I have 6 x 120mm SP corsair fans running on mine with no hassle. Fan controller there is no such thing on the 540 Air

Good review JimmyH and nice build mate I hope you enjoy it 😄
Cheers!
I have the same case too and it's by far the best case I've built in so far.
