Building Advice on Nvme ssd with Asus ROG Strix Z-790 F WiFi II

Hi all,

Just wanted an advice on my next build please,

I will be fitting a WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD 1 TB on a ROG Strix Z-790 F WiFi II.

Should I spend a bit more and buy the version with the heatsink or being the MB a premium MB the standard heatsink that comes with it will be more than enough?

Looking at the instructions the SSD will have to be installed below the CPU socket and above the PCI slot so I think it would be better having it with the standard MB heatsink?

Thanks in advance

Thanks

Hi @Alessio088

The stock heatsink will be more than sufficient. Most users do not perform enough sustained read/writes for temperature to be an issue, regardless.
