[Build Log] Antares - New Re-Done Loop

Hey guys just wanted to share a small build log with you guys. This is my second time doing water cooling after not being very happy with the very first one!

My Rampage IV Extreme decided to die on me the other week which im getting a new one delivered on Tuesday after a RMA, which gave me a good reason to re do things.

I am using a NZXT Switch 810 Case (White) and in my first WC loop i actually had a lot of trouble putting a RX360 rad in there to fit with the motherboard, but i got it in there in the end!

I am now using an AX360 40mm rad (some of you might flame me for it about it being rubbish?) But i am hoping that 6x Corsair SP120mm 2350rpm fans would be enough to give me on par temps with the RX360 if not better.

I've ditched the PrimoChill PRO tubing after it giving me a thick like film within the tube just after a short time! So on the PrimoChill ADVANCED LRT Tubing now.

I've also decided to get another XSPC Raystorm Waterblock, and some Bitspower Rotary fittings for a cleaner shorter loop.

Here are some pics, more to follow in the coming days.

(will add the GPU's to my loop when my 3x 680 Classifieds arrive)

Hoping to get some fully sleeved cables for my Seasonic XP-1000 Platnium from Moddiy... Though not 100% sure on the quality of their sleeving.. Would much rather pay someone to do it for me but what can ya do :thumb:

I am also currently thinking how i can make tubing "neater" from RAD>RES looks like I don't have much of an option but to do a long leangth from the back to the front.

Oh also got a XSPX D5 Res/Pump combo.

Any insights are welcomed (be nice this is only my second time doing a WC Loop) 😛

or anybody who can sleeve cables in australia hit me up 😉

you have a inline temp probe?
is the 680's stock or waterblock on em?
ive tried to get some ( the hydro copper edittion ) from the US but they are out of stock so a no go there, and they are too pricy here in EU.
as you mabye know i have the 810 switch.
is it bay pump/res combo or stand alone?
you can fit a 240 on the bottom if you pull the bottom HDD tray, you will need it when you get those cards in the loop becouse the 360 will not handle all the heat from 3 cards and CPU.
build log, overkill.

Here is a quick update on my rig... 2nd new rampage iv arrived and the company decided to throw in a 140mm Corsair AF fan in for free for being a loyal customer.. Sweeeet

Here are some updated pics, My rig now completed, I had a technical issue with my phone and i lost all the photo's during leak testing etc etc 😞

But i'll make sure to keep them safe when i add 3x gtx 680 classifieds in my loop! I think from my first WC loop (in the first post) i've learnt a lot and and i just wont stop thinking of new ideas! It's an expensive hobby lol.. I will post my completed rig in the next day!!!

Nice setup, very few wires and clean. Put your video card in the first slot. I find you dont need high rpm fans for the rad and pull or push works the same to accomodate for space. Mine, I put the corsair quiet fans on top of the rad and sucked out the air through the rad and works amazingly good.

I changed my wiring management in my rig. I have a corsair psu but like the seasonic. My seasonic broke and bought the corsair and now using some of the seasonic cables for the corsair because they are better and looks better. Have to change out the plugs that fit on the psu with the cables. Stay with the seasonic cables unless you want exact length for your wiring management.

Nice tidy build so far. That angled fan mount on the Hdd cage is a good idea.
Looking forward to pics of the finished rig.
