Aura RGB connector vs D-RGB connector ?

I have the ROG Strix Z690-I motherboard and Phanteks Glacier One 240 MPH

Can I just hook up the D-RGB connector from Phanteks Glacier One to the Aura RGB Connector of the motherboard ? (page 1-15 in manual)
Of course with arrow pointing to the +12V pin.
And if so, why are there different names for this connector ?
