Workflow issues with Armoury II

AndreaKosta

Hi!

I work for a game (MMORPG genre) and one of my tasks is recording weekly some Mass PvP scenes (as well as footages for trailers).

IDEAL WORKFLOW

I used to record the game with a ROG Sica, compatible with "ROG Armoury". Using freecam in the game and pressing [ + ] and [ - ] keys, I can change the camera speed. For convenience, I binded Scroll Up movement to [ + ] and Scroll Down to [ - ].

As a result, if I scroll up or down many times in sequence, I'm able to gradually change speed, and "ROG Armoury" detects as below:

Scroll Up → Scroll Up → Scroll Up → Scroll Up (+ → + → + → +)
Scroll Down → Scroll Down → Scroll Down → Scroll Down (- → - → - → -)

WORKFLOW DOESN'T WORK WITH GLADIUS II AND "ROG ARMOURY II"

There are many other camera commands, and as I trust Asus ROG, decided to buy a Gladius II mouse to bind more commands and easily change DPI (for smoother camera movements).

But Gladius II is not compatible with "ROG Armoury", only with "ROG Armoury II". While trying to set the same bindings, I found out that "ROG Armoury II" doesn't work as it's previous version. It only recognizes a Scroll Up action if the previous action was Scroll Down.

As a result, I can't Scroll Up or Down many times in a row, actually, just once (Scroll Up → Scroll Down → Scroll Up ...)

I tested Gladius II in another binding software and it recognizes Scroll Up/Down multiple times in a row, but since it's not my default driver, the antihack system blocks it from affecting the game. That's why I believe it's not a issue with ROG Gladius II, but with ROG Armoury II.

WORKFLOW QUESTIONS

I spent twice the value of a Sica ($40 vs $99) to end up not being able to use Gladius II in my work, my main goal. Is this issue possible to be bypassed? Am I doomed with Gladius II? Is there any hope that Armoury II might change to work like it's previous version?

EXTRA QUESTION

My coworker is now using my old Sica to record with latest ROG Armoury version. Scroll Up and Down bindings working as we intended. But the latest ROG Armoury version seems to not allow him to add new Mouse Profiles, something that I was capable of doing in ROG Armoury V127. Are we doing something wrong? Or has the amount of profiles indeed been limited in latest Armoury versions?
