I have a MVE board (specs in sig) running Windows 7 Pro. I am considering installing Windows XP mode. The reason is that I have a printer and scanner (both connected by USB) that need XP.
The Printer is a HP2300 laserjet. It works ok with the universal drivers from HP, but I can no longer use the printer's embedded web server that helps view and control stats, diags, and settings. There never was (or will be) a Windows 7 driver, so only works in XP. The scanner won't work with Windows 7 at all. I have it connected to the old XP computer, but would like it on this desktop.
But I'm not sure XP mode is worth all the trouble, resource overhead, and disk space (on my SSD)
Anyone here using it with satisfaction?
