Hey there. I have an ASUS ROG G750JH currently running Windows 8.1. Everything running fine with everything up to date as far as Windows Update is concerned. I decided to go for the Windows 10 free upgrade like others I'm sure, but I get the exception in the subject line. Fortunately, the upgrade is great as restoring back to Windows 8.1 upon failure.
According the device manager I have a Qualcomm Atheros AR8171/8175 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30) installed. I choose Update Driver but it says that it is up to date. There also appears to be no update on the ASUS drivers page.
Any ideas what I can try or what might be causing the issue?
I can certainly wait and don't have to upgrade to Windows 10 any time soon.
