Recently upgraded to windows 10 and am having BSOD every 4-6 hours.

I am getting the BSOD message Driver-irql-not-less-or-equal and sometimes kmode_exceptions at storport.sys

I believe it is a driver issue however there are very few drivers for the asus rampage formula x79 board specifically for windows 10 the data drivers that i am missing are not on the support website for win 10

IRST Drivers only 64 bit latest 15.2.5.1035

Drivers and software

You can also get drivers from Intels website but for whatever reason Winraid is always one newer.

ASUS stops with the support for 3rd party drivers not long after release. Its always best to go to the vendors page, be in intel, broadcom, Nvidia etc.

The SATA controller is downstream of the IRST controller. Cant make everyone happy. Leave it as is and folks complain that they dont run raid, take it away and not use the IRST controller and folks are complaining they cant run raid .
