I just updated my GPU Tweak III (v2.0.8.5) to use Level Sense feature with Astral but "MCU_update_v1.0.0.4" file needed to download and run when i try to enable it. What is this file exactly? I can't find any related info about it.

Shut the PC down.
Switch the PSU off (if it has a switch), then unplug the PSU power cable from the wall/PSU.
Leave it unplugged for 1 minute.
Plug the PSU power cable back in and switch the PSU on.
Boot back into Windows.
Open GPU Tweak III (GT3) and try enabling Power Detect / Level Sense again.
If it works after this full power cycle, it suggests the firmware flash is OK and the earlier “verify” failure was likely caused by I2C read errors during continuous polling.
If it still fails after a full power cycle, we’ll need to move this through service, reach out to them and once you have a case number, contact me to let me know.

Same thing here I tried to install it, put after programming the firmware, on the verifying step the CMD screen closes by itself. Now, when I open GPU Tweak it don`t shows anymore the Power Detector Feature and the Level Sense features. Something messed up, please how can I fix this?

Hi @jotavip
Have you tried rebooting since? Can you confirm if this is still happening for you?
Maybe try reinstalling GPU Tweak 3.

Hi, I tried everything, rebooting, reinstalling GPU Tweak, but everytime I run the MCU exe, it completes the MCU program step, and on the MCU verify step it gives a fail error, on a different percentage of the progress. I tried on admin CMD, normal CMD, everything. The card is working fine, RGB too, but on GPU tweak it don't shows anymore the Power Detector and GPU Sense options. I tried even installing an older version to see if power detector appears, but nothing.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Do you have any other tools running that might be polling the GPU? For instance, Afterburner, etc.
Make sure the system isn't overclocked to rule out instability. Clear CMOS to return to Optimised defaults.
Leave EXPO/DOCP/XMP profiles disabled.
Please list all system specs, too.

Hello. I closed all the running apps as Afterburner and Nvidia app before trying, and still having error. The CPU and GPU aren't overclocked, and I loaded CMOS default settings and tried to run without any memory profiles. And same thing, error at the verify step. The only thing that I didn't tried yet was running the MCU update on a clean windows install.
Here are the specs: i9 14900k/ 32 Gb 6800 XPG Lancer ROG Certified / ROG Maximus Z790 Hero / ROG Astral RTX 5090 / Windows 11 25H2

Hello thanks for your support. After the power cycle the options still didn't appeared on GPU Tweak III, but when I tried the MCU update again, now it successfully completed! And after that, the Level Sense and Power Detector options appeared on GPU Tweak III. Thanks very much for your support.

You're welcome, glad that resolve the issue.

I have the same issue, and tried the power cycle method that you suggested and it didnt work.
I think Jotavip just got lucky i left the PC unplugged for 20 minutes and the issue repeats itself
