hey guys
It's good to be in this forum. My board is the Asus maximus hero v11 which i have just setup. the bios in it is 1107. Do you really need to update bios, or is it a case of if it's working good then leave it. Also whats the point of AI suite 3 if you can not do this, if i have to is there any step by step for it o this forum as i don't want to brick my new MB lol

Hi supermarine and Welcome to ROG

There are always risks when updating Bios and if your system is running fine, then don't.
Having said that, your latest Bios is 2201 for better stability and performance.
Best and safest method to update Bios is using a USB stick to flash the Bios, using your IO panel and the ROG connect port.
If unsure on how to go about this, I can explain in detail. Section 2.2 page 2.11 in your manual.
Aisuite is unnecessary and can be troublesome, as all OCs you may consider, should be done in Bios.

Hey MM
Thank you for that, yeah i think i will take off ai suite and do it the safe way as you mentioned. Anyway Ai suite 3 does not even work for this anyway, so much for EZ update lol
