UAC prompt at startup since Windows 10 FCU (Led Service and GPU Fan Helper)

Hello,

since I updated my Windows 10 installation to the new Fall Creators Update (build 16299.15), everytime after i log into my account, I receive these two UAC prompts:





ledcontrolservice.exe and GpuFanHelper.exe, the first one is from this package:

AURA RGB Lighting Control for Graphic card & ROG-XG-STATION-2 (needed to control heatsink leds for a GTX1080 Strix O8G VGA)

The second one is from AI Suite 3 package for my Asus Maximus VIII Extreme motherboard.

I have to press everytime "Si/Yes" to make them disappear, then I can use my computer without any issues, but you know, it's very frustrating.

Obviously I tried to reinstall the two softwares, but it didn't resolve.

What I have to do?

At last after months of these UAC prompts they have now gone away , thx Danger 🙂

Each time I change these settings (User -> System), on next reboot it go back to previous values (User). 😞

I used the second option - the one that said "Without Shortcut using Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit (ACT)"

I have a similar issue today after latest Windows 10 1903 update:

GL703GS Sonic Studio 3 issue with latest Win 10 v1903 update

I think the problem is that the running task at statup tries to re-set Task Scheduler task every time, and for this reason it requires UAC and highest privileges. It's trying to self-elevate because it tries to update in Task Scheduler the task at launch every time! It was probably the same with Led Service task...

Same issue here after uptating Windows 10 to the latest version (build 18362.387)

I still encounter this to this day. It's because the application itself is trying to self-elevate when it doesn't need to. The scheduled task is doing the privilege elevation for it and would therefore not prompt for it. This stinks of just poor testing and development.
