Turbo App Problems

Hi guys,

I've been through the cycle of using ai suite for oc, thinking it's great and then finding I can do much better using just the BIOS. When everything was done through ai suite I was able to use turbo app to change my fan profiles for my games and get some airflow for my xfire setup.

However turbo app no longer does anything. I'm on auto for power saving and turbo app says it's on. I have created a profile for full speed and linked it to various programmes but it never kicks in. Any suggestions?

Hi DavieJG and I have a suggestion, 😄
For a less frustrating OC experience. Uninstall AISuite, clear cmos to default settings, and only OC and make changes in Bios.
Don't forget, anything you do in Bios will overwrite anything done in windows and there can be conflicts.

That's what I've done. I just want fan xpert and program dependant profiles from ai suite and turbo app

would love to get some more info..Is it possible to use turboapp with a manual overclock with a 125 strap that would be cool if you could have a way that you don't have to change windows power management plan every time when using speed step and offset windows seems to do a horrible job of stepping up the cpu speed. I noticed this when using Adobe premiere

Actually I'm going to mess with it some more. it looks like you can go in and make profiles in tpu and then set turbo app to use them.

OK it seems as soon as the strap changes to 125 all bets are off with turbo app. Manual changes and xmp or auto changes and 2400.... Joke

Is there any fix for this? I can get turbo app to change fan speeds but if I set the cpu speed it does not work, and in fact goes down from stock speed when game selected.

Okay I couldn't get it to work but found some software that seems to do what I think most of us are looking for. Trying it out has anyone ever use this?

Hi geox19 and yes, I have been evaluating and using Process Lasso for some time now.
I found it useful for setting my power plan and multicore optimization. The pro balance aspect has a noticeable difference to the way windows prioritizes CPU activity. It helps smooth out task scheduling and got rid of some stuttering and mouse responsiveness (or lack thereof). Noticeable if you uninstall it.
It has more capability than you can imagine, once you get used to its GUI.

Have fun.

Has anyone had any luck with the Turbo App? I am looking for a new Z170 motherboard, and was particularly interested in the ASUS Pro Gaming board due to the Fan Control 3 App and the Turbo App.
