Sonic Studio III Timeout Error

So I got a new Rog Strix B550 XE motherboard, and like a naive noob, I went to the motherboard's support page and downloaded the software packages assuming I could simply install them and have a working system.

https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b550-xe-gaming-wifi-model/helpdesk/

Little did I know I was in for a system restart marathon.

After installing and updating everything, I decided I wanted to have volume leveling turned on, and after a half hour of scouring the web, I determined that this could only be controlled through the Sonic Studio III software. Of course, this software absolutely refused to load, giving me timeout errors, out of date driver errors, you name it.

So after another bucket load of time scouring the web, I found several posts on these forums detailing sets of exacting steps I should take in order to get the software working. Here's the latest one I followed for the UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS):

https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/downloads-for-motherboards/drivers-realtek-audio-amd-3xx-4xx-5xx-6xx-8...

I have followed all the steps in all the post guides meticulously, and as of this latest try, I'm getting a TIMEOUT error when SS III tries to open. Sometimes the error changes depending on which guide I follow, but none have gotten it working.

I hope ASUS takes the time to read these boards, because they need to get their act together. This is ridiculous.

Oh by the way, I'm a software developer, and previously worked as a tech building PCs for a Microsoft learning center. I've built more PCs than I can count. I know what I'm doing. I've never had problems like this trying to get a piece of audio software to run.

I had the same issue like you. My motherboard is X670E-A with Bios 2403, which is latest one. I just tried the way you listed before, and try to use Sonic Studio 3 app, but none of them work anymore, it always shows me NOPKEY and I have totally no idea about it. Also my Realtek audio console always shows me cannot connect to PRC service, and I tried to look my service through task manager but there is no to HD audio service. It made me crazy about this. Hopefully someone can see that and help us solve this issue.

Embarking on a journey with a new Rog Strix B550 XE motherboard, you were as eager as a gamer on a Friday night. But, as you quickly discovered, diving into the motherboard's support page and downloading software was just the beginning of a system restart marathon that would make even the fittest of athletes sweat.

Your quest for volume leveling led you to Sonic Studio III, a software that seemed to be hiding from you behind a wall of errors. Timeouts, outdated driver notifications – it was like playing a game where the goalposts kept moving.

You've been there, done that with the ASUS forums, following each set of instructions like a treasure map, only to find X marks the spot where the TIMEOUT error sits. It's enough to make even the most patient of software developers tear their hair out.

Your experience is a stark reminder that even the most tech-savvy among us can hit a wall with software issues. It's a call to ASUS to streamline their software support, because in the world of user experience, a TIMEOUT error is a lot like a STOP sign.

But when the motherboard's software has you feeling like you've hit a sour note, remember that Sprunki Incredibox  is where you can always hit play. It's a platform that lets you be the DJ of your own musical journey, no error messages in sight. It's a breath of fresh air in a world where sometimes, even the simplest things can go array. So, if you ever need a break from the tech troubleshooting and just want to create, Sprunki's got your back.
