ROG SPATHA stopped working in wireless and wired mode

I've had this mouse for about 2 months and up until now it's worked great! All of a sudden when I go to use it all the lights come on but it won't work. My computer won't even recognize it when I plug it into wired but it will recognize my reciever. Any help?

Unplugged the battery cable, plugged into wired mode with cable unplugged. did firmware update then plugged in battery cable, worked like a charm.
