ROG Connect On The iPhone And iPad

Hello

I am trying to connect my iphone 5 - operating system 7.0.4 to my Rampage IV Extreme - Bios 4206 - Windows 7 64bit Ultimate.

I have followed this guidance - http://rog.asus.com/10132011/labels/rog-exclusive/rog-connect-on-iphone-and-ipad/ - plus other info gleaned from the web generally.

Installed - Mobilink V 10107 and Rog iDirect 1.00.20

On the iphone i am unable to connect via any option at all even with the phone set to use personal hotspots (tethering). I want to connect preferably by wifi yet if i try to add an ip address i just get a box appear to either

Add ip address - hit this area, no response - empty field area
Cancel - close button
OK - accept button

The phone is already connected wirelessly to my router and also by bluetooth to my computer.

Bluetooth - unable to connect when test button pressed - connected by access point and hotspot shows active
USB - unable to connect when test button pressed
Wifi - unable to connect when test button shows - endlessly attempts to connect

Have checked my hub/router settings page - iphone shows connected here

Anyone with any bright ideas or help please? This function really should work still as a selling point of this board.

I aslo have AI Suite II installed - network icontrol in here shows no bandwidth to any listed programs or any activity of any sort.

Hopes someone can assist me

I believe the iApp for this is not supported on boards after III. I have a Maximus V Extreme and did a bunch of Googling about this when I setup my system and found this as an answer. If I'm not mistaken on your board it will need to connect to another computer (laptop or desktop) to work. Do your own research or wait for someone else to answer to check my response.

I remembered it wrong then, the IV was the last board to support it. I just knew that I couldn't use it LOL.

I seem to remember reading that the tricky part was getting the PC to recognize the iPhone. There may be an issue with iOS being newer than is supported as well.

Situation made worse by fact unable use OC Key

If i connect OC Key to my GPU 1 (Two x HD7970 Matrix Platinum in Crossfire) then my desktop screen set to my Dell U2410 monitor fails to wake the monitor ........ with the OC key removed it wakes fine - using one of the two DVI Ports to connect. The other DVI port connected to my 50" LG Plasma which works with or without the OC key connected to my Dell monitor.

Edit Note - My monitor/display set to never turn off - fails to wake on boot. Power also set never turn off to PC.

OC Key working now ... not sure why wouldn't before. Dell monitor fires up when it is used. No access to OSD though .... unable select items in list.

Raja .... Not so sure about going back in time how about Asus making good on the featured software advertised as a function of the board?



Now, no matter how I try to use that feature, it fails to work. It wont connect via usb or wireless or bluetooth! Asus advertised it to work with that blurb coming from the RIVE page ... simple adjustable overclocking and monitoring.
Now, i know the new panel wont work due to the lack of a header, i even put the links in here to the pages to show folks that is the case, but, its a slap in the face when you go into the forum to see this link knowing you cannot use it.



The RIVE is still on sale, excepting its Black Edition it is the premium product, can we therefore expect updates and functioning features?

If you have support problems - please make a separate thread citing the issues. This thread has nothing to do with support of other products, so keep it to Front Base only. We don't want to start having to make new threads for you.
