However when I tried to download the updated version from Microsoft store, it doesn't download it. it fails to download the new armoury crate software. I tried the one from asus own website but that doesn't work either.

Before I bought this mouse, I did some digging, and I heard that the software was kind of buggy. However, those reviews were made 3 years ago. So I was thinking. The reviews were done 3 years ago, and the software is used for any ASUS/ROG peripherals. it MUST have been polished by now, right?

Apparently not. I tried to set buttons, and each time I try, there will always be times(more often than not) where after setting and hitting save, it won't save. the app says it's set, but the mouse clicks don't register. So I close the app and open it again, and everything is reset. The buttons, I can do with letting go. but for Macros, especially the longer ones, forget about it. I tried recording one macro and I've been trying for about 3 days now and I still haven't been able to save it. At first, I thought maybe it's just having trouble saving because the data is getting lost in transferring through wireless mode, so I plugged it into the USB directly, and it still won't do anything. The mouse itself is amazing. I love everything about it including the grip once I got used to it. But this software is just... well... let's say it's not something I was expecting from a brand as prestigious as ROG. I used to use a predator cestus 500 and the software they use(Acer Predator Quartermaster) is just on a whole different level. I can't believe that after 3 years, Armoury still feels like a Beta software.

I'm using a laptop with a Core i7 7700HQ, 8GB single-channel RAM, GTX 1060 6GB and a 250GB SSD for my boot drive, where the Armoury software is installed.
I'm posting here hoping this might help, but judging from the length of this thread, I doubt anything will be changing soon unless they completely re-do the whole app from scratch.

Only one mouse's settings can be accessed any given time, so it seems!

Hi. I have 2x Asus Gladius 2s running on the same puter. Same model, both non-Origin, OG Gladius IIs. Yes, both with the stupid DPI shift button that always gets in the way.

Problem with ROG Armoury is that it can only display one mouse's settings at a time. I get a single Gladius II icon showing up in the top bar (not two) and can configure only one of my Gladius II units. I'm literally forced, LIKE A CAVEMAN, to unplug one mouse, which Armoury will thankfully immediately detect and display the other plugged in mouse, to allow me to configure that one's settings/lighting/profile. Then after I replug the one I plugged out back in, Armoury reverts to the newly plugged in mouse's settings (basically only ONE Gladius II icon is displayed and can be accessed at all times)! I can no longer access the other mouse unless I do the same darn thing again!:rolleyes::(

I need a software fix for this!!! Heck, it's Armoury v3.00.30 already and this very basic issue/bug still exists? Is Asus telling me NOT TO BUY so many of their same mice from them, even if I wanted to? I promise you Asus, these will be the last 2 mice I get from you if you don't fix this issue!!! :p:(

Hi,
I bought a brand new Asus Rog Gladius II Wireless mouse and i got an issue with the ROG Armoury. When i play sometimes accidently press the dpi button ( i disable dpi switch at the button layout) and one of them buttons on the side, like mousebutton 4 or something else at the same time. That means it switches the profile of the mouse because of the inbuilt macros to profile switches. Its freezes for couple of seconds and switches dpi its very annoying.
Is there a way to delete the mouse profiles or at least switch off the macro for the profile switch?
I'm linking a screenshot what is my problem and it will be more understandable.

Hi

Im not sure if im the only one with this kind of problem, but when im trying to raise the BASS with the bass boost option I hear no difference.. Enable the EQ and changing around that doesnt have an impact either.. only the lights change works and volume bar. I use ASUS ROG STRIX FUSION 500 headphones.
No matter what settings I change it has no impact on the sound at all.. I also use the 24 bit 96000hz option.

Hello. I recently tried to assign F13 key to side mouse button. I tried:

  • Autohotkey script. It does works, F13 is virtualy pressed, but Keyboard Function doesnt catches it.
  • Adding it Via macro, by editing .gmac file. This doesnt works at all

Does anyone have an idea, how to do it? And is this even possible?
.gmac file looks like this.
Press,F13,100,124
Delay,290
Release,F13,100,124
1

Also, i havn't found where are mouse configs stored.
In C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\ROG Armoury\Mouse\ROG Pugio\Config_Pugio are 4 .ini files, but none of them store anything like key function.

ROG Armoury 3.00.30
Rog Pugio mouse firmware 0155
Rog strix Flare 0.00.38

SONIC STUDIO 3 on my new asus rog strix G doesnt open. Its stuck on the orange loading page

Hello everyone,

So many sticky threads, sorry for posting it yet again. Didn't know where to write. Aura, Armory Crate or ROG Armoury etc.

Last week, I've built a desktop PC with the following specs:

Asus Z390 E-GAMING Mobo
Intel i7 9700K
XPG S40G SPECTRIX 512 GB SSD which advertised as a 3500 read / 3000 write SSD. no other storage unit is installed on the machine, so this is my OS drive naturally.
Windows 10 Pro x64 Bit

I noticed that my MSI GS65 laptop was faster than my desktop in some tasks, when used side by side with the desktop, which felt slow and sluggish for a pc equipped with a 3500/3000 ssd. So i decided to run some benches on the Desktop.

That's when i saw that my S40G was running at 1000 / 650 speeds. Tried with a bunch of disk benchmark softwares, including Crystal Disk Mark. After a vast investigation, i found that Asus Aura (1.0.7.71) and Asus Armoury Crate is the problem. Whenever i install one of these softwares, S40G's performance dips down to very low values. I uninstall the software, it goes back to 3500 / 2400 values. Since this is a RGB SSD, i'm now certain that Asus Aura (or Armoury Crate) RGB control drivers are causing a conflict with the drive's normal operation. But this only happens when S40G is the OS drive. If i uncheck it from the peripherals list on Aura, drive goes back to normal speeds.

Can be seen here: https://ibb.co/mvg7tK9

I tried plugging the SSD on to 2 different m.2 sockets (m.2_1 / m.2_2), and tried it on 2 different z390 e gaming motherboards. Both gave me the same results.

This is the original thread here:
https://forums.tomshardware.com/thre...#post-21385070

i do not use neither Aura nor Armoury Crate at the moment, since dipping from 3500 to 1000 MB/s is a major issue, and needs to be addressed. I also ordered a XPG SX8200 PRO, and when it arrives, I'm gonna make it my OS drive, and check the S40G again with the Aura / Armoury Crate.

Hello !
I just got my new ROG Strix Scope keyboard, and love it ! 🙂
But i was hoping that the Rog Armoury software would allow to define a specific light color for the ROG Logo.
Could be great to have this feature in next software release. 😛

Today I installed Armoury Crate for the first time had to update the MB software and AIO software and immediately my PC began freezing. I was unable to get in long enough to uninstall the software so had to do a fresh install of Windows 10. Reinstalled Armoury Crate and again it began freezing. I want to go back to AI Suite with Aura and Livedash but can't find the Livedash software anywhere.

My system is

Asus ROG Strix B450 Gaming F
AMD 2600X
Asus GTX 1060 6GB
16GB Trident Z ram
Asus ROG Ryujin 240 AIO
Samsung 970 EVO SSD

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Update: I've had to do another clean Windows 10 install. This time I managed was able to uninstall some of the apps that Armoury Crate installed but there is still an app called "All MB" that won't uninstall. After uninstalling everything else I am still getting freezes.

It is so frustrating how bad Asus seems to be at software.
