Reinstall Win 8.1 on asus rog g750jx

Good moring all,

My pc is ASUS rog G750JX with win8.0.
I need to reinstall windows and i'd like to start by installing win 8.1 but license is Win8.0.
Can i use the mediacreationtool.exe from Microsoft to create an usb key and reinstall windows 8.1?

ok, think i found the solution:

since the last version of windows win 8.1U1 you can install win8.1 using one of the license here --> http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj612867.aspx and after that run cmd as administrator and run following commands:

SLMGR.VBS /IPK XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX (your Windows 8 key)
SLMGR.VBS /ATO

Yes the latest from MS as long as you download the correct windows 8.1 Core, Pro or single language your embedded key will automatically be read and activated http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

From what I read you are asking how to get 8.1 on a USB am I right ?
They have updated the link and you just pick the language, windows 8.1 and x64 if it is x64
Then while in the setup it should ask you like at a normal install for the key and from what I know 8.1 or 8.0 the key will be accepted.

PS: If your laptop was out of the box with Windows you don't need to make a fresh install just do a recovery using the recovery partition. I think you can upgrade to 8.1 from the store afterwards.
