Hello, guys.

I recently built my first build. Here are the specs:
Asus maximus vi formula
Asus R9 290
4770k
Samsung 840 pro ssd
WD black 1tb
Corsair vengeange low profile 1600mhz.

And here's the problem. My pc wont shut down properly. But the problem is that IF I turn on my pc for less then hour or smth it shuts down normaly. Without any hang on "shutdown" screen. But if I tend to leave it more then for hour it hangs on the "shutdown" screen and I can't do nothing, but press reset button.

I have read on forums here and there. Tried everything. Reinstall windows, updated bio, took pc apart and put it togerther again, unintalled intel RST thing (dont remember exact name, but something to do with RAID). Nothing helps. Any advice please? Cuz this drives me crazy.

No, turning off hibernation.

No, just turned off hibernation. Tomorrow will know for sure if this works or not.

Edit: sorry for double post

PC shutdown rating increased, but still after longer period of time it refuses to shutdown normally. I guess I'll have to try reinstall windows if you guys are out of ideas.

Hi
sorry for the late replay but i had to make sure that it work, now after 3 days of monitoring the system shutdown perfectly, all i did was uninstall all Intel programs and install the latest version of them from asus website all though all my drivers were up to date before i did this but it work and the system shutdown smoothly. (Note) intel RST did not seems to make a difference if i keep it or remove it so i do not think that was the problem that most people say it is.
Hop this will work for you like it did with main

Okay guys. I think I have found the solution to my problem. It seems that my ssd software Samsung magician was doing some kind of crazy stuff which was preventing my pc from shutting down. After I disabled boot at start up magician everything seems to be working fine. I'm telling so the others could solve their problem in the future. 🙂
