Hi all

my son upgraded my MB for me and didn't get one that had a Spdif input which i used to connect from my amp
so I've installed a Xonar sound card, everything appears to work except the Netflix app where the sound now stutters
using Windows 10

doesn't matter whether I've selected 5.1 or 2.0 or Russian
I uninstalled/reinstalled the App
Checked card drivers are current
any ideas please?

What Xonar sound card is that? I've heard that ASUS has dropped support for Xonar sound cards on AM4 platform which is a really big bummer... Even tho I have no issues with my DGX and it's latest official drivers are from 2015, I'm using Uni Xonar now(http://maxedtech.com/asus-xonar-unified-drivers/) you might want to give them a shot. 😉

hey mate

mines a Xonar SE PCLe 5.1 gaming sound card

i'll try out those drives, thanks

Hi STRATEGO-LV

just realised these are the Uni drivers, the latest ones I can find are 2017? Tried to install anyway but got a not compatible audio card error

if i acknowledged it it still allowed to to install ...but dat don't seem right?

Just reinstalled Xonar Audio centre but it wont open, i get a "can't find any device"

yet i'm playing **** through the SPDIF Xonar audio option

sigh

Hey, well the page that you see was made in 2017, drivers are regularly updated when you install those drivers first time you run the setup it will remove the existing installation, after that, you will want to reboot and launch the installer again, that will install it, another reboot and you should be all set up.
If you encounter any other problems feel free to post in the Uni Xonar page, people are pretty active there and the dev might be more of a help than I probably can be.

Hi my Xonar SE card isn't supported by Uni drivers, states that in the view full list....explains why I get an installation error I guess

hooray for Asus support

reinstalled drives and all is good....obvious now really
