Is ASUS GPUTweakII RemoveTool V1.0.0.9 Safe to Use

I have GPUTweak2_Ver1.4.5.2 (latest) installed as part of install of my ASUS GeForce GTX1060 STRIX OC 6GB graphic card and am wondering is it safe to use ASUS GPUTweakII RemoveTool V1.0.0.9 (Latest) to uninstall GPU Tweak2 ??.

Also is it better to simply uninstall GPUTweak2 using Control Panel Items\Programs and Features?? Hope someone can please give me some clarity on this. I read somewhere sometime ago on web that it can remove a lot more than what is required deleting OS files and other data and can wreak havoc.
Thankyou...Gary

It's safe to use. I always use the tool and wipe it before installing a new build.

Thanks Azagathoth. Was wondering seeing as you use the tool before installing a new build ( which I assume means you are doing a fresh install of operating system)
would you have time to determine if using removal tool has done any harm?.

Have you used the tool without doing a new build where there has been time to see if using the tool has had any adverse consequences?

Please look at this link on forum: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?82793-SEVERE-quot-asus-gpu-tweakII-removal-tool-quot-(form...

There is very little information about this topic on internet/forums so any info would be valued...Gary

I'm not talking about a clean OS install. If a new build of GPUTweakII comes out I close it out, use the tool to delete it from my system, then install the new build from its installer. I basically do a clean install of GPUTweakII. I've had issues in the past installing it over a previously installed version. This works for me. I cant speak as to problems others may have had with it, as I know asus software can be finicky.

Thanks Azagathoth for your reply. Currently I am using GPUTweak2_Ver1.4.5.2 and removal tool I could use if needed is GPUTweakII RemoveTool V1.0.0.9
Both of these are the latest versions from ASUS site and was wondering which version of each are you using?? Am really looking for 'stable' versions others may recommend. Also what operating system are you using...am on Windows7/64bit myself?? Asus are not that good on software which can create a real headache for users...earlier versions of the GPUTweakII RemoveTool in past would wipe the OS drive and system files. Problem (at link) in my earlier post resulted in Asus removing Removal tool from its website and eventually coming out with latest
GPUTweakII RemoveTool V1.0.0.9 ... but am somewhat wary of it because of seriousness of problems it may cause. Others on various forums on internet have had problems with this V1.0.09
