I have an issue where GameFirst VI gets stuck on a small black pop-up just before closing, and it fails to launch. This happens every time I try to start the program
This is a common issue where security software (especially Windows Defender) flags the VulnerableDriver:WinNT/Winring0 component used by GameFirst VI as a security risk, causing the application to fail or get stuck
How to Fix It in my case was :
Step 1:
1- Press the Windows Key and search for "Apps" or open Settings > Apps > Installed apps (or Apps & features).
2- Locate GameFirst VI in the list.
3- Click the three dots/three bars next to the application and select Advanced Options.
4- Choose the Repair option.
(Alternative: If Repair fails or isn't available, Uninstall GameFirst VI, then reinstall it from the ASUS website or MyASUS)
Step 2: After the repair/reinstall, your antivirus will flag the driver again. You must manually allow it.
1- Open your Antivirus Program (e.g., Windows Security or Windows Defender).
2- Go to Virus & threat protection.
3- Click on Protection history (or Threat history/Quarantine).
4- Look for the recent threat named 'VulnerableDriver:WinNT/Winring0'.
5- Expand the threat details and select the action:
• Restore
• or Allow on device
6- Confirm the action when prompted by User Account Control (UAC). and the program works after that
After confirming the action, GameFirst VI should now launch when you run it

For those who need to reinstall GameFirst VI , the official program file is available for download directly through the MyASUS application. Follow these steps within the app:
1- Open the MyASUS program.
2- Navigate to System Update > Latest.
3- Click 'Show the latest version update available'.
4- Search for GameFirst VI and click the download icon.
