Try Revo uninstaller, it might help, if not clean install or go into the registry??

Hi,

If Sonic Studio III and Sonic Radar III have already been uninstalled, you have to uninstall Sonic Suite Companion : launch Sonic Suite Companion via tray icon then click Uninstall Companion.

Please refer to my post here for more information : https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/intel-700-600-series/remove-sonic/td-p/903279#M8318.

Does that get rid of the driver? Nevermind it does not. I had to go into the device manager and uninstall the virtual mixer in the sound devices.

So sonic studio virtual mixer device driver is re-installed go figure. Guess I will disable it for now. How do I remove the device from my computer?

Hi,

You're wrong, the OP wasn't talking about drivers and neither was I, we were talking about apps, so don't be condescendingly with me please.

I remind you that I don't work for ASUS (everything I do for the ASUS ROG community is out of passion, on a voluntary basis).

I answered you in my thread regarding the audio drivers you need for your motherboard : https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/intel-700-600-series/drivers-realtek-usb-audio-intel-5xx-6xx-7xx-amp-a...

I don't recommend get rid of SS3 drivers since you will lose the hardware audio processing performed by the SS3 APO (which avoids CPU resource hogging for audio processing) and the loss of your equalizer (since your equalizer is based on SS3 APO Drivers).

So if you have noticed issues which the root cause is that SS3 drivers (of which A-Volute/Nahimic stuff) interfering with some of your games/apps, first try to disable SS3 effects, if issues persists, uninstall SS3 app, if issues still persists, there you can go get rid of SS3 drivers (it's at your own risk and I won't provide any support) :

To get rid of SS3 app/drivers :

1) Cleanup : Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process.
2) Install : Delete the ThirdParty folder from AUDIO_Realtek_USB_UAD_ASUS_ROG_SS3-DTS_v6.3.9600.xxxx\Drivers folder then follow scrupulously your INSTALL process (without installing SS3/DTS apps, install RTK app only).

For the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow the UPDATE process (always after having delete the ThirdParty folder from AUDIO_Realtek_USB_UAD_ASUS_ROG_SS3-DTS_v6.3.9600.xxxx\Drivers folder).

Here are your processes if that's the question (from the first post of the thread) :

I apologize. I was not trying to insult you. I said go figure because I assumed windows 11 re-installed it. Thank you for you time and effort.

Will do as instructed.

Go hear and remove the companion app first or you wont be able to un install it later. Dont re enable the device in the bios and dont re install anything. look in the comments. [DRIVERS] Realtek USB Audio (Intel 5xx/6xx/7xx & A... - Republic of Gamers Forum - 845528 (asus.com)

Does this eliminate the driver? Nevermind it does not. I had to deactivate the virtual mixer in the sound devices through the device manager. x trench run
