Just installed my 5080 Astral, did a fresh install of the Nvidia software and a fresh install of GPU Tweak III. Done all the reboots and even a second round of uninstall and install of GPU Tweak following all the reboot prompts and it still won't open. Anyone found a way to get it working when having these issues?

Hi @zl1_ghost
Make sure no other tools are running that are polling the system.
Is the process running in the background?
Have you checked Windows Event Viewer for errors?

Don't know why I didn't check the event viewer, but basically the error is:

downlaod the beta. and try again . TIP:
1. select clean install
2. at the end before hit finish wait 1 minute then select finish. and restart the pc. I check with other users for the last 4 days and all works perfect.
3. If you have afterburner UNINSTALL, including the other app that comes with.
I will asume you are on windows 11 or 10 public last version. also make sure you are on the last drivers bios and last nvdia drivers

If NVAPI is crashing, it could potentially indicate a conflict. Do you have anything else installed that would poll the GPU? Rivatuner, MSI Afterburner, HWMonitor, etc.
Be sure when installing GPTIII to select Clean installl

Yes did clean install! even formatted Windows (11 24H2) and only thing installed was L-Connect 3, battlenet agent and GPU tweak and drivers for hardware (AMD Chipset Driver, Intel Thunderbolt Driver, AMD IPU driver. Results are the same. I see on reddit some other folks posting the same issue since the last 3 days, seems like its not compatible with the latest Nvidia WHQL driver?

I haven't tried the latest driver, it's flooded with quite a number of issues including stuttering. Does the application work if you rollback the driver?

I havent tried rolling back the driver but can confirm it works fine with the hotfix driver!
