I am getting an error when trying to start certain programs. As soon as I uninstall gpu tweak 3, the program runs without issue.
The latest example is kcd 2. The game will not start. It loads briefly then crashes to desktop.
I would love to use gpu tweak 3, but even at default settings, it crashes. I like the osd features, and really want to keep an eye on power detector+.
Do I need to enable the monitoring software feature in asus motherboard bios? Afterburner+riva do not have these issues.
Other running programs: L connect 3(though I've exited out of it and still crash), armoury crate, aquasuite, cyberpower software for UPS, process lasso
I've heard voltage control can be an issue for 50 series. It creates issues when enabled in afterburner. Is it possible that having voltage control unlocked with no option to disable it is an issue for gpu tweak and 50 series?
Thank you

It sounds like you're experiencing a conflict between GPU Tweak III and some of the other software you have running, which could be leading to the crashes with KCD 2 and other issues. Since you're able to run the game without problems after uninstalling GPU Tweak III, it's likely the culprit in your case. Here are a few suggestions that might help resolve this issue:
Disable Monitoring Features in BIOS: Some ASUS motherboards have monitoring features enabled by default, and while this might be useful for certain hardware, it can also conflict with software like GPU Tweak III. If you haven't already, try disabling any monitoring-related features in the BIOS to see if that helps.
Voltage Control: You're right that enabling voltage control can sometimes cause instability, especially on the 50 series GPUs. If you have voltage control enabled in GPU Tweak III or Afterburner, it might be contributing to the issue. Try disabling any voltage control or any aggressive overclocking settings in both GPU Tweak III and Afterburner to see if that resolves the issue.
Test With Minimal Software: Some of the software you're running, like Armoury Crate, Aquasuite, or Process Lasso, could also be contributing to the crash. Try disabling or uninstalling these programs one by one to see if there's any improvement. L Connect 3, for example, has been known to cause conflicts with certain GPU monitoring tools.
Reinstall GPU Tweak III: If you haven't already, try reinstalling GPU Tweak III. There may be a corruption or conflict with its settings that is causing the crashes. After reinstalling, run it with default settings and see if that helps.
Check for BIOS/Firmware Updates: Since you’re using high-end custom hardware (like the 9950X3D and custom waterblocks), it’s always a good idea to check for any BIOS or firmware updates for your motherboard and GPU. Sometimes these updates can resolve compatibility issues with software like GPU Tweak III.
Try Other Monitoring Software: If you can't get GPU Tweak III working, you might consider switching to another monitoring tool that offers similar features, like MSI Afterburner (which you've already tried) or HWInfo. These programs have a reputation for being more stable and less likely to cause conflicts with other software.
If all else fails, you may need to choose between GPU Tweak III for its monitoring features and the stability of your system while gaming. Hopefully, one of these tips helps you find a solution.
Good luck, and happy gaming!
