GPU Tweak 2 wont install

i downloaded the new gpu tweak 2 from here.
https://www.asus.com/supportonly/GPUTweak%20II/HelpDesk_Download/

when i try to install it, it tries to install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017(x64) but it instantly fails because a newer version is already installed..

how do i fix this.

First stop would be to remove all current versions from add & remove.

Removing current versions does nothing. All it does is get rid of stuff other things need....jesus christ pls address the issue with something better than that...for cryin' out loud

same here when I first purchased my card just a few months ago it worked fine...now...trying to update the 'tweaker' it gives me a "1628 Failed To Install" error message....removing the C+++ stuff only makes other dependencies stop working...what in the hell is going on?

Have you tried installing the redistributable independently? Each version is available on MS' site. Multiple versions can coexist.

Yes sir I did. I ended up using another fan control program.
