G751JY, Asus ROG gaming mouse app not detecting my Asus GX950 mouse

Title says it all. The included Asus ROG gaming mouse software on my G751JY does not detect my Asus GX950 mouse. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing, different USB ports, etc with out luck. The mouse works fine but the software does not detect it. Is this a known issue? I only see an old thread here on a similar issue but it was never resolved.

I'm having the same problem. Asus chat support isn't being much help either.

I also have this issue. The mouse functions as normal when plugged in but the application tells me to plug it in upon starting. It is the exact mouse that the application is showing a picture of and came with my last Asus gaming notebook.

By the looks of things I'm guessing nobody found a solution for this issue. I'm asking because GX950 software works but ROG gaming mouse app does not.

I've got the same setup and the same issue. Shame, I wanted to map the thumb buttons but it seems I'll have to settle with defaults. Sure wish a patch was available, doesn't seem like a tough issue to remedy. :confused:

Just bought gx950 for my G751JY and have same problem 😞 Driver form here works https://www.asus.com/Keyboards-Mice/GX950/HelpDesk_Download/

But I fought that newest ROG software will work. Old one is not cooperating with ASUS Gaming Center
