EZ Update works at all?

Level 7

I have a mobo Z-97 Pro, and was checking for video updates for my MSI gpu.

The MSI updater got some updates for my mobo, even it not being from msi (like chipset 10.0.20).

So, "ok", let me instal again the AI Suite and see if the EZ updater get that.

To my surprise, it dosent. Even tough in the Asus support page the driver is there to download and update.

Thats just 1 thing msi got and asus did not. Theres also Audio and network updates.

So, does it work, like, at all? Is it even worth keeping it installed?

I had good experiences with msi in the past regarding updates, sad to see asus dosent seem to have much faith on their ap.

Also, would there be problems updating like the intel network drivers with the msi or other third party tools ?

I would just download the drivers and install them yourself to avoid any problems that can/might/probably happen with any driver updater

EZ update is not usefull manually update your hardware and software , after a few months of initial release of a product asus stops updating drivers and software . unless its a bios for compatibility issues . if u know what the hardware is go to their site and check for updates , and many here in the forum can help u find updates if the need arises , do not trust a driver updater u are asking for problems , or get the updates from your motherboard driver page
