Dual boot Windows 8/ Windows 7 G750jx

Hello guys,

Sorry if i am duplicating some post, however I tried really hard to find solutions to my simple issue and failed to it.

I bought a G750jx with windows 8 pre-installed... But due to some compatibility problems i need windows 7 OS with dual boot as well.

I tried to follow many tutorials, but didn't manage to get success.

My bios configuration is configured as:

disable VT-d
disable Fast Boot
enabled Launch CSM

I'm trying to install windows 7 in a 250g hd... The installation occurs well, but when I restart my notebook after complete it, Windows 8 doesn't show me any boot option, it simply ignores my w7 installation!

What can I do?

Thanks very much for any help! And sorry for my ridiculous english 😛

I would suggest installing LINUX as well, because installing LINUX will bring in the GRUB loader, which will find both the Windows 7 and the Windows 8 partitions, and give you boot options for both. Oh, and LINUX is really cool too :). Linux Mint would be my first suggestion for you. Otherwise, your BIOS settings look good! 🙂
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

Thanks for answering guys!!

So, in theory, just if I install linux in one of mine partition, both windows 7 and 8, will be recognized by linux boot?

It should, yes. You would need to install it another partition, besides the ones that Windows 7 and Windows 8 occupy. Yes, the bootloader (GRUB) is really powerful. Actually, you might find yourself liking LINUX and using it! 🙂
