AURA Sync Maximus VIII Formula + Strix 1080Ti?

I just picked up a Strix 1080 ti and can't seem to get these to sync with the aura software, together. There seems to be a version for the motherboard and a version for the graphics card. Shouldn't the main (motherboard) version be able to identify that the card is installed and list it to the left where the motherboard and the header are?

The both function fine, separately but out of sync with one another. Also, the colors on the 1080 ti spectrum cycle MUCH faster than the motherboard.

-Any ideas?

The Maximus VIII Formula does not support Aura sync, you can what I call semi sync the gpu with the motherboard.

Static - Both gpu and motherboard the same solid color.
Music effect - Both will pulse to the beat of music.
CPU Temperature - Both will go the same color according to cpu temp.
