Hi Guys,

I posted my problems with the new version of Aura here a few days ago!

My problems seems to be solved!

I followed the instructions of the attached video (according to the video makers description it was advertised as a possible solution by Asus as well) and tadaaam my computer became healthy again. The lights are synchronized and all the Aura compatible parts of my computer showed and adjustable in Aura menu! I do not know if this could be the key for everybody, but I just turned ON the lights at both options (lights were setted ON even if I'm turning on my computer or even if its hibernated or the computer turned off) in my Bios and than I started windows normally. After I logged in into my Windows started Aura and turned off the motherboard light if the computer turned off (this set back my Bios settings as well). Restarted the computer and now everything is fine. I turned off and on the computer today and this solution seems to be reliable to me! 😄

The whole detailed process is in the video so here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A75VEYtpilo

I hope it can help many of You guys posted problems here as well!

Fingers crossed! 😉

Hello, very hard to understand you, can you explain it in a better way?

Anyway, I put both options in my bios on "ON" it doesn't change anything, but if you mean to do something else also, I don't understand you. Thank you.

Hi DarthLoloX,

Sorry for my bad english and if I was too short, I just wanted to introduce the working solution in few words. Now I'll try to explain it in more detailed way.

According to the process steps introduced in the video I figured out that the key solution may be found in the BIOS menu. I do not understand why and I do not understand how is it working behind but it worked for me! Let's see it:

Description in the Manual:

RGB LED lighting

1. When system is in working state
This item allows you to turn the RGB LED lighting on or off when the system is in the working state. Configuration options: ON/OFF

2. When the system is in sleep, hibernate or soft off states
This item allows you to turn the RGB LED lighting on or off when the system is in the sleep, hibernate or soft off states. Configuration options: ON/OFF

My basic settings in my BIOS (under Advanced/Onboard devices configuration) is the following:

1. Aura lighting turned on when computer starts.
2. Aura lighting turned off when computer hibernated, turned off etc.

These are my adjustments for lighting control in my BIOS as well and I guess every Aura compatible MB BIOS should have something similar as well!

Now in this video the narrator says that you should turn ON both lighting options (Aura lights shall be turned ON in option 1. and in 2. either) in order to make lightning control operating correctly. (I assumed that something is happening during BOOT!)

I had a little time and I looked around in this topic over the internet and read an article about the UEFI BIOS. This type of BIOS is able to manage fast BOOT (this usually turned ON by default in every system) and this means it turns on only the necessary parts of the system during BOOT in order to save booting time and start Windows faster!

So this was the point when I connected the video suggested solution to the referenced article because this could be the way to force these parts being turned ON during fastBOOT and help Aura program to recognize them without any problem.

After I turned ON both settings and set Aura correctly (connected my GPU which was not highlighted in Aura menu before) under Windows I turned OFF option 2. (Aura lighting turned off when computer hibernated, turned off etc.) since I do not want operating MB lights if I turned OFF my computer.

Yes I know you're asking me why did I do that turning ON/OFF thing since it has no sense (at first glance) and believe me I do not understand either but it works! I just followed the instructions of the video and the magic happened...

I hope this helps but I'm at your disposal if you have any further questions!

OK I understand, I will try to turn OFF in the bios the option 2. Thank you.

Update: it doesn't work for me 😞

hi everyone! there's an issue with asus aura and my new tuf gaming m5 mouse. sometimes it (mouse) randomly stops working, but lighting still works and even stays in sync with other components. re-plugging the mouse cable helps, but this problem can happen again. also, if i use keyboard to open asus aura and press "refresh" button, mouse starts to work. it seems to be that "rainbow" mode causes this issue (atleast i didn't see this problem on any other modes). in addition to that, "rainbow" seems to be... slow at changing colors? i mean, colors change not that smooth on latest version as it was on older versions.
