AURA SYNC 1.07.22 - Report Issues Here

To better understand which issues you are currently experiencing with the latest release, I will be collecting your feedback from this thread to let the team know. Thanks!

If you are not on the latest version, update to 1.07.22 to make debugging faster, please remember to mention:
1. The BIOS/firmware version for your hardware.
2. The AURA SYNC products you own and any other 3rd-party lighting software.
3. If a power cycle has made any difference. (Shutdown, power off, unplug power cable for a minute)
4. If you have tried reinstalling Aura or Windows already.
5. Do you have Aura for Graphics Cards installed also. (Please uninstall)
6. OS build/version.
7. If the issue was present in the previous version(s).
Please Include a screenshot of the Aura UI, and any other pictures if applicable.

If you experienced installation issues previously, please follow the procedure below:
- Make sure you have updated the firmware for your keyboard & mouse using Armoury.
- Right-click on Setup (not AsusSetup), then Run as administrator to uninstall the old version and remove all cached data.
- Reboot PC.
- Right-click on Setup, Run as administrator to install 1.07.22.
- Reboot PC.
- Right-click on the Aura shortcut icon, Run as administrator to open the Aura application.
- If devices are not showing in the Aura UI, hit the refresh icon.

Just crashes on start up for me also most likely can't run with iCUE installed, ill get it working trying other version then it will just randomly stop and stop responding when trying to start.

Anytime I try to open the Aura Software I get the "ASUS Aura Has Stopped Working"

I'm on an Asus ROG Strix Z390E Motherboard with Trident Z RAM and two Coolermaster 200M ARGB Fans (from the MasterCase 500M) hooked up to the motherboard. BIOS Version is 0602

I also have Corsair IQ for my keyboard, plus Steelseries' software for my headset but the Arctic 7 doesn't have RGB.

I did the install/uninstall and reboots galore method with no results.


I am on Windows 10 Pro Build 1809

Please help!

Interesting, cause I kept saying I wanted to go back to two versions where the issues weren't as bad. Or maybe its just a bfv issue not sure. But it constantly gets stuck at 15% and causes hitching in the game. And it happens everytime. Where in earlier versions it only happened once in a while.

Try this, go into the folder where you downloaded the latest version of Aura Sync. From there go into the "Lighting Service" folder and you will see a folder called "aac". Go into that folder, there will be a bunch of Aac####.exe files. Click each one to uninstall. After you are done you may either choose to reinstall the ones you need or all. Make sure to right click and give Admin rights when you re-install each .exe. I only re-installed 4 of the exe's, 1. Display 2.MB 3. Terminal and 4.VGA. And last but not least, reboot. After I did that Aura Sync sees my mobo again. Hopefully this helps you and others.

Is there any planned support for ROG Phone Synchronization? Currently the only setting sync with other phones..what about Aura enabled devices?

It doesn't, like i heard. But the problem is that I cant run this version. It crashes instantly on start, so I also can't use it.

I have noticed that "LightingService" holds my CPU at maximum speed, when it would normally be idle..

if I kill "LightingService" my CPU speed returns to a lower speed state (SpeedStep) as it should - but after a reboot when LightingService is running again, my CPU sits up at full speed....

Hadn't noticed this on any previous versions.

Ok using Maximus XI GENE and G-Skill TRIDENT Z RGB F4-3600C17D-32GTZR and looks like using AURA to control the rams RGB is corrupting the SPD of the ram......ASUS needs to fix their software!!!!!
