AURA SYNC 1.07.22 - Report Issues Here

To better understand which issues you are currently experiencing with the latest release, I will be collecting your feedback from this thread to let the team know. Thanks!

If you are not on the latest version, update to 1.07.22 to make debugging faster, please remember to mention:
1. The BIOS/firmware version for your hardware.
2. The AURA SYNC products you own and any other 3rd-party lighting software.
3. If a power cycle has made any difference. (Shutdown, power off, unplug power cable for a minute)
4. If you have tried reinstalling Aura or Windows already.
5. Do you have Aura for Graphics Cards installed also. (Please uninstall)
6. OS build/version.
7. If the issue was present in the previous version(s).
Please Include a screenshot of the Aura UI, and any other pictures if applicable.

If you experienced installation issues previously, please follow the procedure below:
- Make sure you have updated the firmware for your keyboard & mouse using Armoury.
- Right-click on Setup (not AsusSetup), then Run as administrator to uninstall the old version and remove all cached data.
- Reboot PC.
- Right-click on Setup, Run as administrator to install 1.07.22.
- Reboot PC.
- Right-click on the Aura shortcut icon, Run as administrator to open the Aura application.
- If devices are not showing in the Aura UI, hit the refresh icon.

Ive not used this software actively for some time. I just use it to set a simple default or static color then shut it down. Well all of the lights got out of whack so I try to launch it now, latest version and it fails to launch and give an error message stating such very quickly with a quick splash including the windows is looking for a solution very quickly then shuts down. Ive got red on my mobo, the pattern I was using on my keyboard and GPUs and other items are orange with GPUs pulsing. A complete power down including removing the cord from the machine to reset has no effect.

Back to where I was which is about all I expect of this software, default unicorn vomit after having uninstalled thorough registry sweep, deleted orphaned folder, reboot, install 1.05.25 and the colors changed before I rebooted.

1.07.22 works for me in Static color but it goes out of sync some times after a restart, especially Trident Z and Asus Strix GPU and I have to power down and on again to re detect everything properly.

Is the only way to get white color is changing the saturation to 0? Is there any way to get a gradient color to white since I want to play around color changing by gradient.

Can't get the software to launch, I just get "asus aura has stopped working". I've tried reinstalling (heaps of times), installing older versions, clearing cmos, unplugging off the wall socket but it still doesnt work. I didnt have this problem 3 days ago. Someone else having this problem?

I've got the latest bios installed if anyones wondering.

System Specs:
I7 8700k
Asus maximus x hero (wifi ac)
2 x 8 gb G.Skill trident Z rgb 3200mhz
nzxt kraken x52
Gigabyte RTX 2080
2TB SG BARRACUDA
500GB SAMSUNG 970 EVO M.2

Dear developers, here's my feedback: Aura is working fine for me, but for some reason, any dynamic animation besides "Color Cycle" is laggy and choppy, but I remember it being smooth in the previous versions. LEDs are smooth on my keyboard as well, if, for example, I set rainbowe with Armoury II, but are laggy as hell if set with Aura.

1. My BIOS version is 0602.
2. Aura Sync products: PG27VQ, Strix Flare, Pugio, Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X, Phanteks Halos Lux Digital 140 (3x), Maximus XI Code, Strix 2080 Ti O11G, Ryujin 360, GSkill Trident Z Royal (4x, 8 LEDs per stick), Thor 850P, ROG Delta. Third party lighting software: Logitech Gaming Software, for my G560 speakers.
3. Power cycles don't make any difference.
4. I tried reinstalling Aura, on my Windows.
5. Aura for GPUs is not installed.
6. Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64 bit (10.0.17763.195) build 1809.
7. The issue wasn't present in the older version(s).

CPU usage with DRAM RGB enabled is still an issue on the most recent version. CPU usage jumps just high enough so that my CPU will never throttle down. From well under 1% with no DRAM, to 3% or so with DRAM. I'll continue leaving my DRAM disconnected from Aura until this is fixed.

I have something really great to tell you. ASUS realeased the new AURA SYNC Software version 1.07.35 and this fixes all the named problems. CPU usage is fixed and Easy Anti-Cheat complications are also fixed. I'm glad that Asus listens to their customers and fix the software, good job! 🙂

So ive updated the new verison and i still can't change leds number of AURA TERMINAL like 1.07.22. After applying custom numbers it resets at 90 all the time. Syncing TERMINAL causes hard stuttering using Comete, Wave,Yoyo,Strobing effects across all devices. Developer team did amazing job as always! (no):mad:

Unfortunately still not the case for me. Clean install, still getting high CPU usage, plus color transitions are still very 'slow' when they used to be smooth 4 versions back.

The only fix for both is still going to 'static' or 'breathing'.
