AURA SYNC 1.07.22 - Report Issues Here

To better understand which issues you are currently experiencing with the latest release, I will be collecting your feedback from this thread to let the team know. Thanks!

If you are not on the latest version, update to 1.07.22 to make debugging faster, please remember to mention:
1. The BIOS/firmware version for your hardware.
2. The AURA SYNC products you own and any other 3rd-party lighting software.
3. If a power cycle has made any difference. (Shutdown, power off, unplug power cable for a minute)
4. If you have tried reinstalling Aura or Windows already.
5. Do you have Aura for Graphics Cards installed also. (Please uninstall)
6. OS build/version.
7. If the issue was present in the previous version(s).
Please Include a screenshot of the Aura UI, and any other pictures if applicable.

If you experienced installation issues previously, please follow the procedure below:
- Make sure you have updated the firmware for your keyboard & mouse using Armoury.
- Right-click on Setup (not AsusSetup), then Run as administrator to uninstall the old version and remove all cached data.
- Reboot PC.
- Right-click on Setup, Run as administrator to install 1.07.22.
- Reboot PC.
- Right-click on the Aura shortcut icon, Run as administrator to open the Aura application.
- If devices are not showing in the Aura UI, hit the refresh icon.

Beta 1.07.22 install. I did make a clean install on a Hero IX with 7700k. Have the last bios. have the latest main drivers. I use the current Armory and on install all appear. i click spartha and did make the connection with my 1080ti strix and board. Still need a lot of work. In rainbow, the changes are not smoth like the color cycle. th Spartha detects the 3 zones and change accordingly. Use 0% of cpu on idle and 36.2MB in these mode. I will check the claymore, as soon is here in DEC4th and report back

Aside what i explain on top. that is it. If there are changes I will report Back.

I literally purchased this laptop two weeks ago, and I am on my second purchase as of yesterday in order to rule out hardware errors. With the update KB4462933 from microsoft for windows 10 when the computer is on battery power the backlighting will go off as expected with no use recently, and then windows will kill AURA listen and in turn AURA core and no backlighting will be present or operate until AURA is reopened and then closed. If a reset is done the backlighting won't return, but after a complete shutdown it will come back, only for the same thing to repeat itself with windows telling it to end the task. I have changed AURA's priority to high and still it doesn't affect the issue. I have considered turning AURA into a service, but am afraid I may mess something else up. I think ASUS should be aware of this issue that only laptop owners would be seeing due to the way that windows is now considering applications as essential or non-essential and performing the termination on its own. I have also noticed some issues with aura sync such as in BO4, it doesn't seem able to control the syncing as it has before the update. I am uninstalling KB4462933 and hopefully i can avoid updating until either windows fixes this issue or ASUS comes out with a new solution through firmware or software for AURA.

And this is what is coming up when it decided to kill itself. I actually uninstalled that update and it is still happening when on battery power.

Here is some input:

A.
If you have a graphic tablet (e.g. Wacom, Artisul, Huion) plugged in, Aura will stop working. Once graphic tablets are unplugged, Aura works without a problem. It is the tablet's service that suspends lightingservice from running. I am not sure if windows pen and ink have anything to do with Aura not lunching. I have the Artisul D13 tablet running on Zenith with 2950X.

B.
If you cannot lunch the newest version of Aura , or Aura doesn't recognize your hardware, try the following:

1. Uninstall any Aura software that you currently have (you might have to do some regedit cleaning, but first avoid regedit).
2. Reset your PC.
3. Download and run Lighting_Control_1.06.17 version
4. Reset your PC
5. Make sure that Lighting_Control_1.06.17 works
NOW
6. Download Aura Sync 1.07.22 and run the software per ASUS instructions (via admin)
7. This will uninstall Lighting_Control_1.06.17
8. Don't go into regedit and delete Aura files
9. Don't delete folders left over by Lighting_Control_1.06.17
10. Restart your PC
11. Now, run and install Aura Sync 1.07.22
12. Reset your PC
13. Try Aura Sync 1.07.22

My biggest pain was the tablet, once I unplugged the tablet Aura is beautiful. Once the tablet is plugged in, I cannot lunch Aura. It is a trade off that sucks 🙂

I noticed someone was asking about a laptop and Aura problems, so, maybe, the laptop has a touch screen causing the same issues as a graphic tablet on a PC. Windows Pen and Ink maybe??????

Hello, i got same problem. Im tired to fight with this ****. Version 1.06.17 works very well but the others like 06.95 or newest 07.22 don't work! Written "please connect an Aura Sync compatible device and bla bla bla". I even sign up for asus rog website because solve this problem lol, what to do? ur advice didn't help me dude. In last time i even can't install aura and i start other icon file and it didn't ask me about restart when deleted old version of aura. Sorry for my english i hope u got it.
And what does it mean like 8. Don't go into regedit and delete Aura files 9. Don't delete folders left over by Lighting_Control_1.06.17 (How to do it, it ask to delete everything)

if i try to donwload the latest version of aura. And start up the software as administration (it must deleted previous in begin and after do full installation of new) but it wrote "SETUP WILL NOW TERMINATE" . SO? i can to start installation with other file for example "ASUS SETUP" because "ASUS" don't work. But "ASUS SETUP" Don't ask restart after installation and that's the problem. At least it won't work for sure. I was checked it twice.
