is this a real thread ? i mean, asking for features while the software is pure garbage and unstable is an effrontery, sry.
never ever saw an application that difficult to uninstall completely, really never ever never ever had an application that wont work after reinstall never ever had i've done a system recovery of Windows, and now i needed it for just some LED Control.
Support for the ROG Terminal in Creator would be nice.
With regard to Aura itself, the SDK is surprisingly solid given the state of other aspects of the infrastructure - for example offering support for the ROG Terminal and individual LED control. On that note - an organizational suggestion. You have two pages devoted to different versions of the Aura SDK on your web site which makes it quite confusing for technically proficient end-users. Figure out why you have divergent web sites dedicated to the same software, maybe unify the developer portal to offer access to the different versions of the SDK instead of having different pages that offer differing levels of conflicting information.
I would suggest improvements to the internal API. Support for HSV/HSL at the API level. Maybe some fillGradient, fillRainbow methods such as those provided by the FastLED library. While FastLED is devoted both to hardware access and implementing patterns on top of that access, the latter portion of the library would serve as a great model for the Aura SDK. The Color Utilities and strip APIs are insanely useful and powerful.
Since the Aura team has a minimally performant set of applications and utilities for Aura, it'd be nice to see more of the internals exposed i.e. the ability to add our own patterns to Aura Sync, much like we can now add Creator patterns to Armoury Crate.
Stop creating separate Aura programs. This is so stupid. "Aura Halo" and "AURA RGB Control for Graphics Card" should be part of the main Aura program. It's mind blowing how bad Asus software is. The Aura Halo software hasn't even had an update in 2 years. Ridiculous.
Take some lessons from NZXT and Corsair and make better software.
Please add support for the ASUS Aura Terminal to Armoury Crate II and Aura Creator. Currently the terminal shows up in Armoury Crate II but you cannot control each addressable header individually. In my opinion this defeats the purpose of the terminal. To make matters worse Aura Creator doesn't even show the terminal at all. Do you not support your own product anymore?
To be honest, when I first started messing with the computer LEDs, I saw this awesome video of a person who had set up his computer to extend a Hatsune Miku video to every last LED in his system, including fans, mouse, keyboard, etc...
Well, needless to say that's impossible in Aura. So with that....
1. I'd like better control for the Aura Terminal. I feel like as things are it's pretty clunky and clumsy. I'd also love the ability to extend the halo effect to the entire LED system. This needs to be ingrained within Aura itself. Anything that requires you to "unsync" aura needs to be reworked.
2. I would like the ability to customize the colors or otherwise change the music effects. Kinda feel like none of the existing effects go with the kind of moods I'd set with my music.
3. Aura creator needs a *lot* of work. It has never been able to see my video card, and suddenly can't see my motherboard anymore. I lost aura light pattern options moving to Armory crate from the old aura, presumably so I could use Aura Creator to get them.
