ASUS Aura SDK is an evolving developer toolkit that furthers the capabilities and benefits of our Aura illumination technology. Currently at beta stage, the Aura SDK enables developers to fully exploit the capabilities of a vast eco-system of ASUS Aura Sync-capable PC gear. With scope to visualize an array of system stats and alerts via RGB illumination, and to enhance in-game action with lighting synchronized in real time, the possibilities are virtually endless.

The DRAM is not available in the SDK for the moment - documentation has been updated with the v2.04 version.

Is there an ETA on when it could be available (weeks/months/years) ?

It's not in our schedule at the moment as the SDK is made for ASUS products only.

It really should be, i think it's the most requested feature and neither G.Skill nor TeamGroup say nothing about SDK, i asked on both supports and their forums and all they say is that it's not possible on their end, this when they understand when i'm talking about and don't just say "Download our app to control lights"...

So after running the demo app I found that the I get a zero in _count field after this call.

DWORD _count = EnumerateMbController(NULL, 0);

Any updates on what's going on? Is this still being actively worked on or has the SDK been abandonned?

It's been around 5 months with zero updates to the SDK...

I am wondering the same. It was promising and i was really excited. But it seems closed to asus hardware and not even all of it (basically you can control the mobo and mobo headers but keyboards, mices, ram... Meh... ,and it doesn't have a proper documentation not speaking of internal aura bugs that would (i imagine) clutter any attempt to do something great.

They also emphasis on Philips hue integration... Nice on the paper...

Hi guys, is there any news about the development?

I managed to integrate Aura sdks into Aurora software.
Everythings works "fine" but there's a big bug in the dlls that crashes the program on certain motherboards:

the call DWORD _count = EnumerateMbController(NULL, 0); instead of returning something, simply get executed forever and the debugger hangs.
The memory start to leak and that's all.

I noticed that happens only with certain motherboards. for example works well in my z270-e and another MSI (returns 0 of course), but hangs with my friend's z-97 deluxe.

I had to avoid that call to make sure the software doesn't freeze...

also any way to control DRAM modules???

Also No way I can control the "ESC" key on my claymore. it simply stays off.. maybe I am doing somthing wrong..

I think the project is dead. I sent a tweet to the their community person asking for an update:

@ASUS_ROG Any word on Aura Sync SDK updates? It could use addressable RGB support, a 64-bit version of the SDK and some bugfixes.
Please don't be the only brand to to be able to be integrated in the Aurora project: http://www.project-aurora.com
