Aura 1.07.71 and earlier versions - Aura service is currently unavailable

Hi y'all. I'm getting kinda annoyed about this software. I have followed the guides to completely remove it with revouninstaller, I've used the aura cleanup software, I've rebooted like 4000 times, I've manually run the aura service installer about a dozen times, but still when I try to launch the app it says that the auraservice is currently unavailable. I've also unplugged the computer overnight as someone mentioned, but honestly I think that is bull**** because it's a software issue.

Software shouldn't be this messy or this difficult to uninstall completely. Please do something about it!

I have a Crosshair VI Hero.

Is there anybody here who knows what the frig they're doing that can get this working for me? I want to be able to control the lighting. I spent a lot more money to have RGB and I just want it to work as advertised.

Also, put the captcha at the bottom of the screen on this. Holy crap.

I have to reload Aura Service almost every day because Aura Sync continues to revert to full rainbow cycle. I have no other RGB software and no other conflicts.

My System:
Intel i9 10900k
Maximus XII Extreme
128 gb GSkill Trident Ram
Asus ROG RTX 2080 Super
Asus 850 w Thor PSU

WHY ON EARTH AM I STILL HAVING PROBLEMS???? Why after YEARS of people posting this SAME issues can you not get this software correct?

At this point, I am seriously considering leaving ASUS all together. With this kind of setup I should not have to suffer this problem.

Agree 100%. I've had issues with Aura Sync ever since there was ASUS update almost a year ago. I've tried numerous solutions on this site but the only thing that happens is I get a different error message. I just need to control my keyboard back light, period. Surely, there must be someone at Asus that has a level of competence that can resovle this long standing issue!!

My AURA Software is working fine, but why is the CPU usage +10% when i want to sync my GSkill RGB Ram? Without GSkill RAM it is using under 1%...
This had to be fixed please!

I can't even get Aura to install. I get a "unhandled expectation" error. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hi guys I to have a issue with this aura software, using the standalone software the aura lights work until u click on strobing which causes the LEDs to freeze or turn off, but the rest of the effects work fine as they should, but soon as I use Armoury crate any of the effects excluding static causes the lights to freeze and upon restarting or shutting down the pc and turning it back on fixes the issue unless I re do these steps any help, I have re installed, formatted my entire OS didn't clean install, replaced my mobo and still the same issue

stop using both just use armoury crate. seems you mixed the aura service. just make a clean os intall and just use armoury crate

Have reinstalled OS and still having the same problem the aura for graphics card works fine aura for all the rest of it gives me the same error. Asus needs to put out a full system clear for the item and not aura cleaner its not fixing the problem a full OS install for most people at some point is not an option and paying for hardware that has to software support it paying for half a product at this point im very disapointed with the software for 90% of the asus products i have purched.

And whats with tthe sight making me say im not a robot every 2 min it makes it impossible to reply in detail will call tech support

Same problem here. LiveDash used to work. It doesn't anymore. Armoury Crate used to work. It doesn't anymore. And for the grand finale (drum roll please): Aura doesn't work either. Summary: Nothing works to control the fancy lighting and LEDs.

Relevant hardware: Rampage VI Extreme Omega. Ryujin 360.

But, hmm... Maybe I will try this.

Okay, here is the latest. As recommended above, I simply did these two things, first:

"I went to C:\Program Files (x86)\LightingService after uninstalling the lighting service component and found a 3kb file called LastProfile.xml. I deleted it. I then went to the registry to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\ and deleted the LightingService subdirectory."

Then I once again installed Aura and bam... I now have lighting control. But no LED control, sigh. But it is a definite step in the right direction.

Three cheers for the post.
